Lenovo Lecoo Pro 14 Core Edition debuts with Intel Core Ultra power, 120Hz display, and eGPU support
Lenovo has refreshed the Lecoo Pro 14 Core Edition in China, giving its compact laptop a strong performance upgrade while keeping it positioned as an affordable thin-and-light machine. The new model runs on Intel’s Core Ultra 5 135H processor, part of the Meteor Lake lineup, and brings a useful mix of productivity power, modern connectivity, and even external GPU support.
One of the biggest highlights is the Intel Core Ultra 5 135H chip, which includes an 8-core Intel Arc integrated GPU. This built-in graphics solution is capable enough for light gaming, creative workloads, media editing, and everyday multitasking. In many real-world scenarios, its graphics performance can come close to AMD’s Radeon 780M, making it suitable for running many games at Full HD resolution with adjusted visual settings.
What makes the Lenovo Lecoo Pro 14 Core Edition especially interesting is its OCuLink port. This connection allows users to pair the laptop with a high-performance external GPU setup, offering a major graphics boost for gaming, 3D workloads, and GPU-heavy creative tasks. For a laptop in this price range, OCuLink support is a standout feature and gives the device more upgrade potential than many standard ultrabooks.
The laptop also includes USB4 support, making it more flexible for users who rely on high-speed accessories, external displays, storage drives, or docking stations. Its port selection is generous for a slim 14-inch laptop, including one USB4 port, one OCuLink port, three USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, one 10Gbps USB-C port, HDMI 2.1, a TF card slot, a 3.5mm audio jack, and Ethernet.
The display is another strong selling point. Lenovo has equipped the Lecoo Pro 14 Core Edition with a 14-inch screen featuring a sharp 2880 x 1800 resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. The panel is rated at 400 nits of brightness, supports DC dimming, and covers 100% of the sRGB color gamut. That makes it a good fit for office work, streaming, web browsing, casual content creation, and users who prefer a crisp, fluid display experience.
Despite its capable hardware, the laptop remains portable. Lenovo says the Lecoo Pro 14 Core Edition weighs 1.47 kg, or about 3.24 pounds, making it easy to carry for students, remote workers, and frequent travelers. The slim design is paired with a surprisingly large 80Wh battery, which should help deliver solid battery life during everyday tasks such as document editing, video playback, browsing, and light productivity.
Charging is handled through USB-C, with support for 100W fast charging. This makes it more convenient for users who want to carry a single charger for multiple devices or quickly top up the battery between work sessions.
Lenovo has also included a 65W cooling system, which should help the Core Ultra processor sustain performance under heavier workloads. Other features include WiFi 6, a clean modern design, support for up to 8TB of storage through M.2 slots, and compatibility with up to 96GB of DDR5 RAM.
At launch, Lenovo is offering the Lecoo Pro 14 Core Edition with 24GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD. The starting price in China is CNY 4,929, which is roughly $727. That pricing makes it a compelling option for buyers looking for a portable laptop with a premium display, strong connectivity, and future-ready external GPU support.
For now, Lenovo has not confirmed whether the Lecoo Pro 14 Core Edition will be released outside China. However, the company has previously introduced similar models in other regions under different branding, so there is a possibility that a related version could appear in global markets later.
