Supercell has officially pushed Brawl Stars into the anime world for the first time, launching a new crossover event with My Hero Academia. The collaboration went live on April 28, 2026, bringing five limited-time character skins to the shop and a special challenge that lets players earn one of those skins for free. The event runs for a short window, ending May 7, so anyone who wants the rewards will need to jump in quickly.
This is a big milestone for Brawl Stars. The game has teamed up with major animated brands before, but this is its first collaboration tied to an anime franchise. And My Hero Academia is a strategic pick: the anime wrapped up its long run on December 13, 2025 with Episode 170, meaning it’s still highly recognizable worldwide while also entering that early “nostalgia” phase that often fuels collectibles, cosmetics, and crossover hype.
All five My Hero Academia skins in Brawl Stars (prices and character pairings)
The crossover lineup reimagines well-known My Hero Academia characters as Brawl Stars skins, each matched to an existing brawler:
All Might appears as an El Primo skin with Legendary rarity, priced at 299 Gems. It’s an easy fit, since both are built around strength, pressure, and up-close brawling.
Bakugo is paired with Edgar as a Mythic skin for 199 Gems.
Deku joins as an Epic skin for Fang at 149 Gems.
Tomura Shigaraki arrives as a Mythic skin for Gus at 199 Gems.
Uravity comes as “Uravity: Janet,” an Epic skin listed at 149 Gems in the shop, but it’s also the featured free reward from the limited-time challenge.
How to get the free Uravity: Janet skin (challenge details)
Players can unlock Uravity: Janet without spending Gems by completing a special skin challenge before May 7. To earn it, you need a total of nine wins spread evenly across three modes:
3 wins in Knockout
3 wins in Brawl Ball
3 wins in Gem Grab
Each stage gives you four lives to work with. If you lose all four lives before finishing a stage, you’ll have to spend Gems to keep going. Players who complete the full challenge don’t just get the skin—there are additional bonuses included: four Random Star Drops, two Chaos Drops, two Uravity Janet-themed Sprays, and a Pin.
To help kick off the event, Supercell also released an official animated trailer, along with a Japanese-dub version for fans who want the full anime-style presentation.
Why this collaboration is happening now
The timing isn’t random. As of April 2026, Brawl Stars sits at 104 brawlers and has been riding a noticeable surge. The game pulled in $48.6 million in revenue in March, up 46.8% from February, continuing an upward trend after a rocky 2025. Recent additions and updates—such as Chaos Drops, Buffies, and Brawl Pass 3.0—helped rebuild momentum, and a major anime collaboration is a smart way to keep that energy rolling.
This event also sets the stage for what’s coming next. The My Hero Academia crossover ends the same day the Starr Patrol season begins on May 7, a season that leans into superhero and anime-inspired themes. Supercell is essentially stacking attention-grabbing events back-to-back to close out the current Dragons and Faeries season: first the anime collaboration on April 28, then a Golden Week event on April 29, and finally the transition into the new season.
My Hero Academia’s global popularity adds extra weight to the crossover. Created by Kohei Horikoshi, the manga ran from July 2014 to August 2024, while the anime (produced by studio Bones) began in April 2016 and became one of the most-watched shonen series of its generation across more than 170 countries.
For Brawl Stars players, the takeaway is simple: if you want the My Hero Academia skins—especially the free Uravity: Janet unlock—the clock is already ticking, and the grind ends May 7.
