Bowers & Wilkins Introduces Pi6 and Pi8 Earbuds with Enhanced Comfort Fit

Bowers & Wilkins has just unveiled their latest true wireless earbuds, the Pi6 and Pi8, boasting an advanced fit and superior active noise cancellation (ANC) performance. These earbuds have undergone three years of intensive research, involving over a hundred prototypes, to ensure optimal comfort and an enhanced listening experience.

Both the Pi6 and Pi8 models come with an IP54 rating, providing protection against dust and water. Equipped with triple microphones per earbud, these models offer significant improvements in ANC compared to their predecessors. Each pair includes four different ear tip sizes, accommodating a variety of ear shapes for a secure fit.

The Pi6 model features the Qualcomm aptX Adaptive audio codec, enabling high-resolution music playback with 24-bit 96 kHz transmissions at up to 420 kbps. With 12 mm bio-cellulose drivers and 2-band equalization, the Pi6 promises excellent sound quality. It offers up to eight hours of battery life with ANC activated, plus an additional 16 hours with the charging case.

For those seeking even higher fidelity, the Pi8 supports the Qualcomm aptX Lossless codec, facilitating 16-bit 44.1 kHz and 24-bit 96 kHz transmissions at approximately 1 Mbps. An innovative feature allows the Pi8’s case to retransmit music from wired USB-C and 3.5 mm audio sources using the aptX Adaptive codec. The Pi8 employs 12 mm carbon cone drivers and supports 5-band equalization for enriched audio. With ANC on, users can expect 6.5 hours of playtime, with an additional 13.5 hours via the charging case.

Styling options include various colors, with the Pi6 available in cloud grey, forest green, glacier blue, and storm grey, priced at $249. The Pi8 is offered in anthracite black, dove white, jade green, and midnight blue, priced at $399. These earbuds not only promise excellent audio quality but also cater to diverse aesthetic preferences.
