Sennheiser has introduced the Momentum True Wireless 5, its latest premium wireless earbuds designed for listeners who want high-end sound, stronger noise cancellation, and longer-lasting hardware. While the new model brings several upgrades, one of the biggest surprises is that Sennheiser has kept the price in line with the previous generation.
The standout feature is repairability. The Momentum True Wireless 5 earbuds come with user-replaceable batteries, not only in the earbuds themselves but also in the charging case. That is a major move in a market where most true wireless earbuds are difficult or impossible to repair once battery life starts to fade. With a simple screwdriver, users can replace the batteries and potentially extend the life of the earbuds for years.
Sennheiser has also refreshed the design. The Momentum True Wireless 5 move away from the more squared-off look of the previous model and adopt a smoother, rounder shape. According to Sennheiser, the updated fit has been well received, with 73% of testers preferring it over the earlier generation. The Momentum True Wireless 5 offer up to 12 hours of listening time on a single charge, with up to 40 hours total when using the charging case. The Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 5 are priced at $299.95 in the United States, £249.99 in the United Kingdom, and €299.90 in Europe. They are available for pre-order in five colors: Copper, Cream, Denim, Graphite, and Lavender. Shipping is scheduled to begin on September 3.
