Bmax B3 Turbo Mini PC Debuts as a Compact Budget Desktop for Everyday Tasks
Bmax has introduced the MaxMini B3 Turbo, a compact and affordable mini PC designed for users who need a simple desktop solution for basic daily computing. Built around an Intel Celeron N5095 processor, 8 GB of LPDDR4 memory, and dual M.2 storage support, the B3 Turbo targets students, seniors, home office users, and anyone looking for a small PC for light workloads.
The Bmax B3 Turbo is clearly focused on size and convenience rather than high-end performance. It weighs around 270 grams and measures just 3.4 cm thick, making it easy to place on a desk, behind a monitor, or in a small workspace where a traditional desktop tower would take up too much room.
At the heart of the mini PC is the Intel Celeron N5095, a 4-core, 4-thread processor with a 15-watt power profile. This is an older entry-level chip, so buyers should not expect premium performance. However, it should be capable enough for everyday activities such as browsing the web, using office apps, watching videos, checking email, attending online classes, and handling basic productivity tasks.
Performance is likely to be similar to older entry-level laptop processors, making the B3 Turbo suitable for users with modest needs. It is not intended for heavy multitasking, professional content creation, demanding software, or modern gaming.
Graphics are handled by Intel UHD integrated graphics with 16 execution units. This GPU is basic, but it should be fine for video playback, light media use, and very simple games. Users looking for stronger graphics performance or gaming capability will need to consider a more powerful mini PC with a newer AMD or Intel processor.
For memory, the Bmax B3 Turbo includes 8 GB of LPDDR4 RAM. The downside is that the memory is not upgradeable, so buyers should be sure that 8 GB is enough for their needs. For light web browsing, document editing, and streaming, it should be adequate, but users who keep many browser tabs open or run multiple apps at once may eventually feel the limitation.
Storage is more flexible. The mini PC includes two M.2 2280 slots, with one slot occupied by a 256 GB SSD and the second left open for expansion. This gives users the option to add more storage later, which is useful for saving documents, media files, apps, or backups.
Connectivity options include dual HDMI 2.0 ports, two USB 3.0 Type-A ports, a 1G Ethernet port, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. The dual HDMI output is especially useful for users who want to run two monitors, making the B3 Turbo a practical choice for compact office setups, online learning stations, or basic productivity workstations.
Bmax has not yet confirmed the final price of the MaxMini B3 Turbo. However, given its entry-level hardware and budget-focused design, it is expected to be affordable. A related B3 model with a lower-end Intel chip has been seen around the $200 range, so the B3 Turbo may land near that price point.
Overall, the Bmax B3 Turbo Mini PC is best suited for users who want a small, low-cost computer for simple tasks. Its compact design, dual M.2 storage support, and dual HDMI ports make it appealing for basic home and office use. However, those who need more processing power, more memory, or better graphics performance should consider a higher-end mini PC with a newer processor and at least 16 GB of RAM.
