Bmax MaxMini B12 Power Mini PC Debuts With Intel Core Ultra 9, 24GB RAM, and Compact Premium Design
Bmax has introduced the MaxMini B12 Power, a compact mini PC built for users who want strong performance without giving up desk space. With a 16-core Intel Core Ultra 9 185H processor, 24GB of LPDDR5 memory, and a surprisingly capable port selection, this small desktop aims to compete with more established mini PC brands in the premium compact computing market.
Although Bmax may not be as widely recognized as brands like Minisforum or Beelink, the company has steadily built a presence in the mini PC space. Its latest model, the MaxMini B12 Power, shows that Bmax is aiming higher with a machine designed for productivity, multitasking, media work, and everyday desktop replacement duties.
The biggest highlight is the Intel Core Ultra 9 185H processor. This Meteor Lake-H chip features a 16-core configuration, giving the MaxMini B12 Power enough muscle for demanding workloads such as heavy web browsing, office productivity, coding, light content creation, and multitasking across multiple apps. In synthetic performance tests, this CPU should remain competitive with newer mid-range chips, including options such as the AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 and Intel Core Ultra 5 338H.
Bmax pairs the processor with 24GB of LPDDR5 RAM. That is a generous amount for a mini PC and should be enough for most users who need smooth multitasking or run memory-heavy applications. However, because the memory is soldered, it cannot be upgraded later. Buyers who prefer long-term expandability should keep that limitation in mind.
Storage is more flexible. The system includes a 1TB M.2 SSD, and the drive can be upgraded through the M.2 2280 slot. This gives users room to expand storage if they need more space for large files, media libraries, games, or work projects.
For graphics, the MaxMini B12 Power relies on the integrated Intel Arc GPU inside the Core Ultra 9 185H. There is no dedicated graphics card option, but the built-in 8-core Arc graphics should still deliver solid performance for general graphics tasks, video playback, light creative work, and casual gaming. Its performance is expected to be close to AMD’s Radeon 890M and roughly around 10 percent behind an Nvidia GTX 1650 Mobile GPU, depending on workload and system tuning.
The port selection is another strong point. The mini PC includes two USB 3.2 Type-A ports, two USB 2.0 Type-A ports, HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 2.1, a USB Type-C port with DisplayPort and Power Delivery support, 2.5G Ethernet, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and a 3.5mm audio jack. This makes it suitable for multi-monitor setups, fast wired networking, wireless peripherals, and a wide range of accessories.
Despite its performance-focused hardware, the Bmax MaxMini B12 Power keeps a compact footprint. It measures 126 x 112 x 52 mm, or about 4.9 x 4.4 x 2 inches, and weighs around 390 grams, or roughly 0.86 pounds. VESA mounting support is also included, allowing users to attach it behind a monitor for a clean, space-saving setup.
The mini PC also stands out visually with a blue enclosure, giving it a more distinctive look than the plain black or silver boxes often seen in this category. It is still compact and understated, but the color choice helps it feel a little more premium and modern.
Pricing is where the MaxMini B12 Power may divide buyers. At just under $1,000, it is not a budget mini PC. The premium price reflects the high-end Intel Core Ultra 9 processor, 24GB of LPDDR5 memory, 1TB SSD, strong connectivity, and compact design. Still, shoppers looking for the best value may want to compare it with other mini PCs that offer more RAM or lower pricing.
Overall, the Bmax MaxMini B12 Power is a powerful and stylish compact PC aimed at users who want a small desktop with serious performance potential. Its Intel Core Ultra 9 processor, strong integrated graphics, 24GB of RAM, upgradeable SSD, and versatile I/O make it a capable choice for productivity and entertainment. The non-upgradeable RAM and premium price are worth considering, but for buyers who want a compact high-performance mini PC, this model is an interesting new option.
