3D Realms and Point N’ Sheep have announced that their throwback action-adventure game, Bloodless, is being ported to the Nintendo Switch. The game, which has already been released for Windows PC, does not yet have a confirmed release date for the hybrid console.
Bloodless is set in the atmospheric lands of Bakugawa and features ronin Tomoe as she confronts her past and seeks to end the violent reign of her former master, Shogun Akechi. The game combines retro stylings with fast-paced combat.
Key features of the game include:
– Precise Combat: Players can disarm Akechi’s samurai army using Tomoe’s dash-counter mechanic and enhance her abilities by drinking herbal infusions found throughout the land.
– Moody Environments: The game world includes nature sanctuaries and war-ravaged districts, painting a picture of a society under a corrupt military regime.
– Emotional Storytelling: Despite being viewed as a coward and deserter by her people, Tomoe returns to spark hope and courage in Bakugawa against its violent political methods.
