BenQ has introduced its latest innovation, the B7100 Interactive Game Projector, in China. This projector, designed specifically for commercial settings such as retail and leisure environments, aims to entertain children while parents shop or dine.
Equipped with a WXGA resolution of 1,280 x 800 pixels and an impressive 12,000:1 contrast ratio, the B7100 delivers vivid images even in well-lit spaces, thanks to its brightness capacity of up to 4,000 ISO lumens. Its short throw ratio of 1.55-1.7 allows users to project a 100-inch image from just 2.4 meters away.
What sets the B7100 apart is its interactive functionality. Running on an Android operating system, it includes 20 preloaded games, blending fun and education. Games like whack-a-mole become interactive experiences with the help of an IR camera, letting kids tap or swipe a wall to play. Flexibility in installation is another highlight, as the projector can be both wall-mounted or floor-standing.
The B7100 Interactive Game Projector is priced at CNY 7,699 (approximately $1,075) in China. While BenQ hasn’t announced a release in other markets like North America or Europe yet, the projector shows promise for wider appeal.
