Beelink ME Pro NAS Gets Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 Upgrade With 72TB Storage Support and 10GbE
Beelink has refreshed its compact two-bay ME Pro NAS with a new AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 option, giving users a more powerful choice for home storage, small business backups, media libraries, and local AI workloads. While the overall design and core hardware layout remain close to the previous Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 version, the updated processor brings a few meaningful improvements that make this NAS more attractive for users who want performance beyond basic file storage.
One of the biggest upgrades is the built-in NPU. The Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 features a 55 TOPS neural processing unit, slightly improving on the 50 TOPS NPU found in the earlier Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 model. Combined total AI performance reaches 86 TOPS, which should make the ME Pro better suited for on-device AI features such as natural language file search, automatic video tagging, image organization, and other smart media management tasks without relying heavily on cloud services.
Memory support also gets a small boost thanks to the newer AMD APU. The Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 supports faster LPDDR5x-8533 memory, although Beelink’s ME Pro configuration uses DDR5 SODIMM slots instead. According to the company, the system can be configured with up to 32GB of DDR5 RAM running at 5600MT/s, which should be enough for NAS duties, virtualization, lightweight server tasks, and AI-assisted file indexing.
Storage remains one of the main highlights of the Beelink ME Pro. The device includes three M.2 slots, officially supporting up to 4TB per SSD. It also comes with two hard drive bays, each supporting up to a 30TB HDD. Based on Beelink’s advertised configuration, the system can reach up to 72TB of total storage capacity, making it a strong option for users with large media collections, backup archives, surveillance footage, or creative project files.
Interestingly, the M.2 slots may be capable of supporting larger 8TB SSDs, which could potentially push the total storage capacity as high as 84TB. However, Beelink is currently marketing the NAS with 72TB support, so buyers should treat that as the official figure.
Connectivity is another strong point. The refreshed ME Pro includes three USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, one USB4 port, HDMI output, one 10GbE LAN port, one 2.5GbE LAN port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. For wireless connections, the system supports WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4. The inclusion of both 10GbE and 2.5GbE makes the device appealing for faster local transfers, high-bitrate media streaming, and multi-user network storage setups.
The Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 also brings Radeon 890M integrated graphics, which gives the NAS more flexibility for media playback, transcoding, and display output through HDMI. Beelink has also retained the compact chassis and modular motherboard design, making the system easier to service or configure compared with many tightly integrated mini NAS products.
In China, the Beelink ME Pro with Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 starts at CNY 4,795, which is roughly $711 for the barebone version. Global pricing and release details have not yet been announced.
With a powerful AMD Ryzen AI processor, local AI capabilities, 10GbE networking, multiple SSD slots, and large hard drive support, the updated Beelink ME Pro looks like a compelling NAS for users who want more than simple network storage in a small desktop-friendly package.
