Baltic Unveils the Heures du Monde: A Stone-Dial GMT Built for Global Timekeeping

Baltic, the French microbrand celebrated for neo-vintage mechanical watches, has officially introduced a new addition to its lineup: the Heures du Monde, a world time watch that blends classic styling with a fresh, stone-dial twist.

Designed with everyday wear in mind, the Heures du Monde comes in a 37 mm stainless steel case measuring 11.3 mm thick, giving it a compact, vintage-leaning profile that suits a wide range of wrists. One of the standout features is its 120-click rotating world time bezel, which can be aligned to track different time zones. Around the bezel, Baltic has engraved 24 major cities, and they’re finished with Super-LumiNova BGW9 to keep the markings visible in low light.

Instead of packing the dial with extra complications, Baltic keeps things intentionally clean and focused. There’s no day or date window here—just a streamlined layout meant to let the materials shine. Buyers can choose from three distinct stone dial options: labradorite, tiger eye, or sodalite, each offering natural patterning that makes every watch feel a little different.

Powering the watch is the Soprod C125 GMT movement, offering a claimed 42 hours of power reserve. Additional practical upgrades include a double-domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating for improved clarity, a stop-seconds function for precise time setting, and 100 meters (10 bar) of water resistance, making it a capable choice for daily wear beyond the desk.

To match different styles, the Baltic Heures du Monde is available on an Italian calf leather strap, a steel beads-of-rice bracelet, or a steel flat-link bracelet. Pricing is set at €1,300 on leather, while either steel bracelet option comes in at €1,360.

For collectors, there’s an added incentive: the initial release is limited to 200 pieces. Baltic has also indicated that the Heures du Monde will eventually move into the brand’s permanent collection later on, giving enthusiasts another chance if they miss this first run.
