Aventon has introduced a new high-performance full-suspension electric mountain bike aimed at riders who want serious trail capability with the latest connected features. Called the Aventon Current ADV, this new eMTB pairs modern trail geometry with the brand’s own mid-drive motor system, positioning it as a strong option for climbing, descending, and all-day exploring.
At the core of the Current ADV is a 6061 aluminum frame designed around contemporary trail numbers. It features a 64.6° head tube angle to help keep the front end composed when speeds rise on descents, along with a steeper 76.6° seat tube angle that supports an efficient, powerful climbing position. The result is an e-mountain bike built to feel stable on technical downhills while staying comfortable and effective when the trail points upward.
Power comes from Aventon’s self-developed Ultro X mid-drive motor. The system delivers up to 110 Nm of torque and as much as 750 W of peak power. Switch on Boost mode and the output climbs further, reaching 120 Nm of torque and up to 850 W of peak power for extra punch when you need it most, such as steep climbs, quick accelerations, or demanding trail sections.
To match the motor’s performance, Aventon equips the Current ADV with a large 800 Wh battery. The company says this setup can provide up to 105 miles (169 km) of range on a single charge, making it especially appealing for riders planning long trail days, extended backcountry routes, or those who simply want fewer charging stops between rides.
Suspension duties are handled by RockShox, with a Psylo Gold fork delivering 150 mm of travel up front and a RockShox Deluxe Select+ rear shock offering 140 mm in the back. Rolling on 29-inch wheels, the bike is designed to carry speed confidently over rough terrain while maintaining traction and control through roots, rocks, and repeated hits.
For shifting, the Current ADV uses a 12-speed SRAM Eagle 70 drivetrain paired with a wide-range 10-50T cassette and a 34T chainring, giving riders the gearing needed to tackle steep climbs and fast trail transitions. Braking is handled by SRAM hydraulic disc brakes with large 200 mm rotors on both the front and rear, a setup intended to improve braking power and heat management on long or aggressive descents.
Beyond performance, Aventon leans heavily into smart and security-focused features. The Current ADV includes 4G connectivity, GPS tracking, an integrated alarm system, and anti-theft protection. It also offers wheel lift control and airtime tracking to log jumps, adding extra tools for riders who like to measure and refine their trail sessions.
Pricing for the Aventon Current ADV is set at $4,599. It comes in four frame sizes—small, medium, large, and extra-large—with two color choices: blue and grey.
