ASUS Unveils Over 20 Cutting-Edge Laptops for CES, Equipped with AMD Strix Halo and Intel Core Ultra 200H/HX CPUs Featuring RTX 50 Series GPUs

ASUS is set to make a big splash with its upcoming range of laptops featuring the latest NVIDIA RTX 50 series GPUs and a choice of AMD Strix Halo or Intel Core Ultra 200 CPUs. Although these power-packed machines aren’t available for purchase just yet, they’ve already made appearances on retail websites, hinting at an exciting reveal at the upcoming CES 2025.

ASUS is ready to roll out 26 new laptop models, each showcasing different configurations of AMD and Intel processors. This fresh lineup promises to blend cutting-edge technology with powerful performance, aiming to capture the attention of tech enthusiasts and professionals alike.

Among the highlights are the new Core Ultra 200H/HX and Ryzen AI Max+ 395 CPUs, set to make waves in the computing world. Enthusiasts have been buzzing with anticipation, especially after industry insiders leaked intriguing details about these forthcoming devices. These leaked specs suggest that ASUS’s ROG laptops will be equipped with a variety of configurations, including AMD’s Strix Halo APUs and Intel’s high-end Core Ultra 200H/200HX processors.

One standout model, the GZ302EA, is poised to feature the Ryzen 9 HALO AI MAX+ 395. This powerhouse combines a 16-core/32-thread architecture with a Radeon 8060S integrated GPU, boasting 40 compute units based on RDNA 3.5 architecture. The rest of the lineup offers an exciting mix of Core Ultra and Ryzen options, all complemented by NVIDIA’s latest RTX 50 series GPUs, which include the RTX 5090, 5080, 5070 Ti, and others.

Interestingly, the lower-end RTX 5060 and 5050 models may debut slightly later than their more powerful counterparts, likely following the initial launch by a month or two. Regardless of the specific configuration, ASUS’s forthcoming laptops are expected to deliver remarkable visual quality, thanks to high-end display options like OLED 2K 240Hz panels, miniLED displays, and more budget-friendly 1080p screens.

Diving deeper into the GPUs, the RTX 5090 is set to impress with 16 GB of GDDR7 memory, akin to the desktop version’s anticipated features, albeit with half the memory capacity for laptops. Both the RTX 5080 and 5070 Ti are reported to come with substantial VRAM, ensuring smooth performance for gamers and content creators. Cooling won’t be an issue either, with the higher-end GPUs offering TDP ranges between 140W and 175W, closely mirroring the specs of previous models.

While a few of these new ASUS laptops have been spotted with price tags on certain retail websites, eager buyers will have to wait a bit longer until they officially hit the market. It’s expected that ASUS will officially unveil these groundbreaking devices at CES 2025, with shipments following shortly thereafter. Keep an eye out for what promises to be an enthralling advancement in mobile computing technology.
