Asus Unveils North American Debut of Dual-Screen Laptop Featuring Intel Panther Lake and Twin 144Hz OLED Displays

Asus is expanding availability of its latest Zenbook Duo dual-screen laptop across North America, bringing new Intel Core Ultra configurations to both the United States and Canada. The updated model targets users who want a high-end productivity machine with two full-size OLED displays, more battery capacity than last year’s version, and fast refresh rates designed to keep multitasking smooth.

In Canada, a configuration featuring the Intel Core Ultra 7 355 is now listed at CAD 3,799 (around $2,775). This model keeps the same memory setup as other versions in the lineup, giving buyers a consistent spec foundation regardless of region.

Asus has also confirmed plans for an even faster option using the Intel Core Ultra X9 388H processor in both the US and Canadian markets. While the company hasn’t announced an exact release date for that higher-tier model, it has revealed pricing expectations: the Core Ultra X9 388H version will cost $200 more in the US and CAD 200 more in Canada, while maintaining the same memory configuration. For shoppers comparing models, that makes the choice largely about processor performance and overall workload demands rather than a shift in core specs like RAM.

One of the biggest upgrades across all versions is battery capacity. Asus says these new Zenbook Duo models include around 30% larger battery capacity compared to last year’s Zenbook Duo. The combined figure comes in at 99 Wh, which is notable for a dual-display laptop where power draw is naturally higher than traditional single-screen designs.

The display setup is the headline feature. The Zenbook Duo includes two 144 Hz OLED screens, each running at a sharp 2.8K resolution (2,880 x 1,880). Brightness is rated at 500 nits for standard use, with HDR mode reaching up to 1,000 nits. That combination of high resolution, OLED contrast, and fast refresh rate is designed for heavy multitasking, content creation, and anyone who benefits from spreading workflows across two screens without needing an external monitor.

With more battery capacity, dual 2.8K OLED panels, and additional Core Ultra options rolling into North America, the new Zenbook Duo positions itself as a premium dual-screen laptop choice for professionals and power users looking to upgrade in 2026.
