Asus Unveils AMD Strix Halo-Powered Convertible, Global Release on the Horizon

Asus is beginning to roll out the new ProArt PX13, a 13-inch OLED convertible aimed at creators who want serious performance in a compact, flexible design. Unveiled around this year’s wave of major tech announcements, the updated model is positioned as a meaningful step up from last year’s version, with Asus promising noticeably stronger CPU and GPU performance across the board.

One of the biggest upgrades is the move to AMD’s latest Strix Halo platform, with configurations available up to the Ryzen AI Max+ 395. That chip is designed to handle demanding creative workloads while also enabling more advanced on-device AI features. Asus is also pairing it with high-capacity memory options, including variants offering up to 64 GB of RAM, along with an integrated Radeon 8060S GPU for better graphics performance without relying on a discrete GPU.

Early availability appears limited. Right now, the ProArt PX13 is only listed for purchase in China, based on current retail information. Asus has, however, shared pricing for the UK as well, suggesting a wider rollout is planned even if exact launch dates for other regions haven’t been confirmed yet.

In the UK, Asus has set the ProArt PX13 “GoPro” edition at £2,999.99 (around $4,049). That version is equipped with the Ryzen AI Max+ 395, a hefty 128 GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and a 2 TB SSD, making it a top-tier configuration for professionals who routinely work with large files, high-resolution video, or complex design projects.

For buyers who don’t need the maximum spec, there’s also a configuration listed in China featuring 64 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD, priced at CNY 14,999 (about $2,151), with an MSRP noted at CNY 16,999 (about $2,438). Those numbers make it clear Asus is targeting users who are willing to pay for premium performance in a portable 13-inch OLED convertible.

For now, the biggest remaining question is global availability. Asus hasn’t confirmed exactly when the new ProArt PX13 will land in more markets, but the appearance of regional pricing is a strong sign that broader distribution is on the horizon.
