Asus is growing its ExpertBook lineup again, this time with the new ExpertBook B3 G1 business laptops in two popular sizes: 14 inches and 16 inches. Built around Intel Core Ultra Series 2 processors, these models are designed for companies that want modern performance, smarter AI features, and a strong set of security tools. For organizations that need additional enterprise protections and manageability, Asus will also offer more advanced configurations with Intel vPro features.
Display choice is a major part of the B3 G1 story. Both the 14-inch and 16-inch versions can be configured with IPS panels in either 1920 x 1200 or 2560 x 1600 resolution. The higher-resolution 1600p option is the premium pick, delivering up to 400 nits of brightness, a fast 144Hz refresh rate, and 100% sRGB coverage for more accurate color. The 16-inch model adds an extra option: a 1920 x 1200 IPS touchscreen. Asus notes this touchscreen configuration is limited to the version with an aluminum lid, giving buyers a clear choice between build variations and feature flexibility.
For video calls and hybrid work, the webcam can be selected in HD, FHD, or FHD with IR support, and all versions include a privacy shutter—an increasingly essential feature for office and remote setups.
Intel’s Core Ultra chips bring integrated NPUs to the table, which helps enable AI-accelerated experiences on the laptop itself. Asus highlights support for AI-powered tools such as the Asus MyExpert suite, Microsoft Copilot integration, and noise-canceling microphone arrays—useful for clearer meetings in busy offices or shared workspaces.
Security is also a major focus. The ExpertBook B3 G1 includes the ExpertGuardian security suite, featuring BIOS protection compliant with NIST SP 800-193, dual ROM recovery, and TPM 2.0 compatibility. These are the kinds of safeguards IT teams look for when deploying systems at scale, especially in environments where device integrity and recovery options matter.
On the hardware side, Asus is offering several Intel Core Ultra Series 2 configurations, including Core Ultra 5 225H, Core Ultra 5 vPro 235H, Core Ultra 7 255H, and Core Ultra 7 vPro 265H. Graphics are handled by up to an Intel Arc 140T integrated GPU. Memory is particularly noteworthy for a business laptop: users can upgrade up to 96GB of DDR5-5600 RAM, although preconfigured models top out at 64GB. Storage is also expansive, supporting up to 6TB total via two PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 slots (with prebuilt configurations capped at 2TB). This makes the B3 G1 a strong option for workloads that benefit from large local storage, such as media-heavy presentations, engineering files, or offline project archives.
Connectivity is well-rounded and business-friendly. The laptops include Thunderbolt 4, with vPro models supporting two Thunderbolt 4 ports. Non-vPro versions replace the second Thunderbolt 4 port with USB-C 3.2 Gen 2. You also get two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, HDMI 2.1 output (TMDS), a 3.5mm audio combo jack, and a Gigabit Ethernet port for stable wired networking. Wireless options include either Wi‑Fi 6E or Wi‑Fi 7, depending on configuration.
In terms of size and portability, the 14-inch ExpertBook B3 G1 measures 19.9mm thick and weighs 1.44kg, while the 16-inch model is nearly the same thickness at 19.95mm and weighs 1.78kg. Battery options include 50Wh or 70Wh packs, with the listed weights including the battery.
Asus hasn’t shared pricing or release timing yet, but on paper, the ExpertBook B3 G1 series looks positioned as a flexible business laptop family: multiple screen choices (including a 16-inch touchscreen option), modern Intel Core Ultra performance with AI features, enterprise-grade security, and strong upgrade potential for RAM and SSD storage.
