ASUS TUF Gaming 7X Desktop Launches With Core Ultra 9 275HX, RTX 5060 Ti, and a Bigger Upgrade-Friendly Case
ASUS has introduced a new TUF Gaming desktop in China, and this one takes a different approach from the compact systems the lineup is known for. The new ASUS TUF Gaming 7X moves away from the smaller 15-liter design used in many existing TUF Gaming desktops and adopts a much larger 47-liter mid-tower chassis, giving users more room for powerful components, better airflow, and future upgrades.
The biggest change is the case itself. Instead of focusing purely on a small footprint, ASUS appears to be targeting gamers and PC enthusiasts who want more flexibility. The larger chassis makes it easier to install bigger graphics cards, improve cooling, and access internal components without dealing with the limitations of a compact prebuilt desktop.
The TUF Gaming 7X also looks noticeably different from the TUF Gaming T500. It features a fully transparent side panel, allowing users to see the internal hardware, including the ATX motherboard, dual memory sticks, graphics card, and cooling setup. This gives the system a more modern gaming PC appearance while also making it more appealing to users who care about aesthetics and customization.
For cooling, ASUS has upgraded the design with support for a 240mm or 280mm liquid cooler for the CPU. This replaces the custom thermal pipe solution used in the smaller TUF Gaming T500. The move to liquid cooling should help the processor maintain stronger performance under heavy gaming, content creation, and multitasking workloads. It may also provide extra thermal headroom for users interested in tuning or overclocking.
At the heart of the ASUS TUF Gaming 7X is Intel’s Core Ultra 9 275HX, a high-performance mobile processor from the Arrow Lake-HX family. Although it is a mobile-class chip, it is designed for demanding workloads and high-end gaming laptops, making it a powerful option for a desktop system like this. Pairing it with a larger chassis and liquid cooling could help ASUS extract more consistent performance compared to more compact designs.
Graphics are handled by an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Ti, although some of the marketing material refers to the GPU as an RTX 5060. Either way, the system is positioned as a capable gaming desktop for modern titles, high-refresh-rate gameplay, and GPU-accelerated creative applications. ASUS has not yet provided full details on memory and storage configurations, so buyers may need to check the final retail listing for exact RAM and SSD options.
Connectivity on the ASUS TUF Gaming 7X is practical, though not especially packed. On the rear I/O, the desktop includes six USB ports, made up of four USB 3.2 ports and two USB 2.0 ports. The motherboard also provides HDMI 2.1b and DisplayPort 1.4 outputs, along with an RJ45 Ethernet port for wired networking. Additional display outputs are available through the dedicated graphics card.
On the top of the case, ASUS includes a USB Type-C port and two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, making it easier to connect gaming peripherals, external storage devices, headsets, and other accessories without reaching around the back of the machine.
One detail that remains unclear is the power supply. ASUS has not confirmed the PSU capacity for the TUF Gaming 7X. Since the older TUF Gaming T500 was available with 330W or 500W power supply options, many users will be hoping the larger 7X includes a stronger unit to better support future GPU upgrades and higher-end components.
Overall, the ASUS TUF Gaming 7X represents a major shift for the TUF Gaming desktop series. By moving to a 47-liter mid-tower case, ASUS is giving users more of what traditional desktop gamers often want: easier upgrades, better cooling options, more internal space, and improved compatibility with larger components. This makes the system more attractive not only as a prebuilt gaming PC but also as a platform that can grow with the user over time.
The ASUS TUF Gaming 7X is currently listed in China at 12,399 yuan, which is roughly 1,830 US dollars. With a 600 yuan coupon, the price drops to 11,799 yuan, or around 1,742 US dollars. For gamers looking for a prebuilt desktop with Intel’s Core Ultra 9 275HX, RTX 5060 Ti-class graphics, liquid CPU cooling, and a spacious upgrade-friendly chassis, the TUF Gaming 7X could become one of the more interesting new options in ASUS’ gaming desktop lineup.
