This update, titled “Through the Petals in the Land of Repose,” is slated for launch on April 9th across all supported platforms, bringing fresh adventures and a new map to explore. One of the most anticipated features of this update is the introduction of new characters, Castorice (Remembrance) and Anaxa (Erudition), adding intrigue and depth to the storyline as players celebrate the game’s second anniversary.
Trailblazers and Chrysos Heirs will navigate a world rife with survival challenges and political intrigue as their Flame-Chase Journey continues. The arrival of the new 5-star characters, Castorice and Anaxa, promises to enrich players’ experiences as they delve into the mysteries of Amphoreus.
In honor of the two-year anniversary of Honkai: Star Rail, players are in for a series of special events and rewards. Version 3.2 will kick off with the “Festive Gifts,” an anniversary-exclusive event offering players 20 free pulls via daily check-ins. On April 26, which marks the anniversary, players will receive a unique in-game commemorative card and 1,600 Stellar Jades. Additionally, players can select one free 5-star character between Ruan Mei or Luocha.
As the story unfolds, the disappearance of the Death Titan Thanatos and the fall of Oronyx take the Trailblazers on a journey to the forgotten city-state of Styxia. This city, submerged in the Sea of Souls, is teeming with colossal dragon bones and roaming spirits. With an ancient lantern as their guide, players will piece together the truth about the Titans and the draconic horrors they unleashed. The adventure takes a dangerous twist when the group encounters Pollux, a leviathan lurking in the depths, demanding caution as one false move could lead to disaster.
The game’s narrative also explores internal conflicts. Okhema’s Council of Elders threatens to halt the Flame-Chase Journey, while Anaxa, an unliving scholar backed by the Coreflame of Cerces, weaves a web of secret alliances and political drama. Players will face formidable challenges as they unravel these complicated predicaments.
The new update enhances the thrill of combat with Castorice and Anaxa as key allies. Castorice, burdened by a tragic past, wields the Netherwing, a spectral power that unleashes fiery devastation upon enemies. Her mechanics provide a strategic edge, converting allies’ lost HP into a strength for Netherwing, offering unique survival tactics. Anaxa, known for his scholarly pursuits, introduces a combat style that weakens enemies and increases his damage potential.
Update 3.2 also features a special Warp event, with reruns of popular 5-star characters Fugue, Jiaoqiu, and Acheron, followed by “Dr. Ratio” in the second half. These additions promise to enhance players’ strategic options in exploration and combat. There’s more on the horizon, as balance adjustments for Silver Wolf, Blade, Kafka, and Jingliu are planned for Version 3.4.
Beyond the main adventure, players can enjoy Seal Slammers, an engaging mini-game that offers light-hearted fun. This chaotic seal-based game invites players to compete against their Chrysos Heir allies in a delightful diversion from their epic quests.
The game’s second anniversary comes with more celebration as players participate in the Star Rail WORLD event, managing a cosmic gala. The Honkai: Star Rail Concert, hosted at the SPD Bank Oriental Sports Center from May 1st to 3rd, 2025, will feature three live performances with a global livestream on May 3rd. Additionally, “Star Rail LIVE 2025 Special Screenings” will occur in multiple cities, offering exclusive merchandise and engaging activities.
