AOOSTAR GEM10 370: The New Mini PC Featuring AMD’s Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 “Strix” APU

The AOOSTAR GEM10 370 Mini PC may look similar to its predecessor, but don’t let that fool you; it packs a significant punch under the hood thanks to its AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 APU. This powerful new chipset is set to elevate the GEM10 series with superior performance capabilities.

AOOSTAR, known for its mini PCs utilizing both Intel and AMD mobile processors, is gearing up to unveil its latest model, the GEM10 370. Spotted in a sneak peek by @realVictor_M on X, this mini PC promises to offer some intriguing upgrades over its predecessor.

One standout feature of the GEM10 370 is its use of the Strix Point Zen 5-based AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 APU, making it one of the pioneering mini PCs to adopt this technology. While the GEM10 370 may look quite similar to the current GEM10 model, the integration of this advanced APU is set to elevate its performance significantly. The new mini PC appears to retain many of the existing features, possibly with minor upgrades in connectivity or design.

The existing GEM10 mini PC comes in various configurations, boasting different Zen 4 chips like the AMD Ryzen 7 6800H, 7735H, 7840HS, and 7940HS. It features a triple-slot 2280 PCI-E NVMe SSD setup, and this is expected to continue with the GEM10 370. The OcuLink for connecting PCI-E devices via an external connector, which keeps the M.2 slot free, is also retained.

Despite its compact size, measuring just 10.7 x 10.7 x 6 cm and weighing a mere 0.6 liters, the GEM10 370 is designed for portability, easily slipping into your pocket. Nevertheless, it punches above its weight with the Ryzen AI HX370 APU, boasting 12 cores and 24 threads, coupled with RDNA 3.5-based Radeon 890M graphics. This allows users to handle intensive tasks and AI workloads efficiently, and even indulge in some gaming without necessitating a discrete GPU.

Compared to the best version of the GEM10, the new GEM10 370 offers an additional 4 cores and 8 threads, enhancing its CPU-oriented workload capabilities. While we eagerly await details on its availability and pricing, it’s exciting to witness a mini PC powered by Strix Point APUs entering the market. Traditionally, the higher costs associated with these chips have deterred many OEMs from incorporating them into handhelds or mini PCs. However, with the GEM10 370, we might be on the cusp of seeing more mini PCs equipped with these advanced processors. Notably, Beelink has also announced their next-gen SER9 Mini PC featuring the same Strix Point chip, priced at $999.

The tech world is buzzing with the introduction of innovative models like the GEM10 370, suggesting a promising future for mini PCs packed with immense power in tiny packages. Stay tuned for more updates on this cutting-edge release.
