AOC has rolled out two new wallet-friendly IPS gaming monitors aimed squarely at competitive players who want fast performance without paying premium prices. The latest additions to the AOC Gaming G4 series come in two popular sizes, 24 inches and 27 inches, and both focus on what matters most for esports-style play: high refresh rates, low motion blur, and smooth tear-free gameplay.
The new models are the AOC Gaming 24G4ZR and AOC Gaming 27G4ZR. Both are Full HD (1920 x 1080) monitors built with Fast IPS panels, a choice that typically delivers better viewing angles and color performance than many budget gaming alternatives while still keeping response times quick. Out of the box, each display runs at 240 Hz, and both can be overclocked up to 260 Hz for even smoother motion and improved clarity in fast-paced shooters, competitive MOBAs, and high-FPS titles.
AOC is also emphasizing speed on the response side. The monitors are rated for 1 ms GtG response time along with up to 0.3 ms MPRT, which helps reduce perceived motion blur during rapid movement. That combination of 260 Hz potential and low blur is the kind of spec set that used to be limited to more expensive esports-focused screens, making these options especially appealing to players building a high-refresh setup on a budget.
To keep gameplay fluid, the new G4 monitors include Adaptive-Sync support and are compatible with NVIDIA G-SYNC, helping minimize screen tearing and stuttering when frame rates fluctuate. This is particularly useful in competitive games where maintaining responsiveness matters, but frame pacing can vary depending on the map, action on-screen, or your PC hardware.
Color performance is another strong point for these budget gaming monitors. The 27-inch 27G4ZR is listed with wide gamut coverage of up to 92.3% DCI-P3 and 121.5% sRGB, while the 24-inch 24G4ZR comes in at up to 87.7% DCI-P3 and 111.7% sRGB. That means you’re not only getting speed, but also vibrant colors that can improve overall image quality for gaming, streaming, and everyday use.
Ergonomics are included with the ZR versions, featuring a stand with 130 mm height adjustment plus tilt, swivel, and pivot. Those adjustments can make long sessions more comfortable and also help players fine-tune monitor positioning for better posture and consistent aim. For buyers who want to spend even less, AOC is also offering alternative versions with simpler, non-adjustable stands: the 24G4ZRE and 27G4ZRE.
Pricing is set to be aggressive. The 24-inch AOC Gaming 24G4ZR is priced at £129, while the 24G4ZRE is £109. For the larger size, the 27-inch AOC Gaming 27G4ZR comes in at £149, and the 27G4ZRE is £129. Availability begins this month.
For gamers shopping for an affordable high-refresh Fast IPS monitor with strong motion performance, Adaptive-Sync support, and impressive color coverage for the price, these new AOC G4 models look positioned to become popular picks in the 1080p competitive gaming space.
