Anker has introduced a new portable charger in China called the Anker Zolo Smart Shield Built-in Cable Power Bank, launching alongside the Nano Smart Shield Magnetic Power Bank. Both new accessories spotlight Anker’s latest Smart Shield safety technology, positioning them as safer, more reliable options for everyday charging.
A major focus of the Zolo Smart Shield Built-in Cable Power Bank is improved safety and durability. Anker says it uses upgraded battery cells compared to earlier models, sourced from ATL, a well-known battery manufacturer that also supplies Apple. The power bank also includes dual safety protection tools and is built with flame-retardant materials. These additions may be especially important to shoppers after multiple power bank recalls in 2025 tied to overheating concerns, as brands across the industry have been under pressure to reinforce protective features.
Beyond safety, the new Zolo power bank is designed for convenience and multi-device charging. It can charge up to three devices at the same time, combining an integrated USB-C cable with a USB-C port and a wireless charging pad. With a maximum output of 45W and a 10,000mAh battery capacity, it aims to strike a balance between fast charging speeds and a compact size that’s easy to carry.
Anker also adds a practical extra for people who rely on wireless charging: a magnetic stand. This lets you prop up your phone at a comfortable viewing angle while it charges, which can be useful for video calls, streaming, or browsing at a desk.
In China, the Anker Zolo Smart Shield Built-in Cable Power Bank is priced at CNY 199 (around $29) and is scheduled to go on sale on March 12. Anker hasn’t yet confirmed whether the model will launch in other regions such as the United States, or when international availability could happen.
