Anker soundcore AeroClip 2 Debuts With Open-Ear Design, LDAC Audio, and Whisper Mode Calls
Anker has introduced the soundcore AeroClip 2, a new pair of open-ear clip-on earbuds designed for users who want comfortable all-day listening without blocking the ear canal. The launch comes as Anker begins bringing its soundcore and eufy product lines under the main Anker brand, with the AeroClip 2 among the first products to arrive during this transition.
The Anker soundcore AeroClip 2 follows the growing trend of open-ear earbuds, a category aimed at people who want to stay aware of their surroundings while listening to music, podcasts, or calls. Instead of sitting inside the ear canal like traditional wireless earbuds, the AeroClip 2 uses a soft loop that wraps around the outer edge of the ear. This clip-style design is intended to provide a secure fit while avoiding the plugged-in feeling that many users dislike.
According to Anker, the AeroClip 2 was shaped using data from more than 2,000 ear profiles and is designed to fit 99 percent of users. The earbuds will be available in three color options: brown, black, and cream.
Sound quality is often a challenge for open-ear earbuds, especially when it comes to bass performance. Since they do not seal the ear canal, they typically struggle to deliver the same low-end impact as in-ear models. Anker is addressing that issue with a 12 mm driver and LDAC support, giving the AeroClip 2 a stronger audio foundation than many basic open-ear alternatives.
LDAC support is a notable addition for listeners who want higher-quality wireless audio, provided they use a compatible device. Combined with the larger driver, the AeroClip 2 is positioned as a more premium option for people who want both awareness and better sound.
Call quality is another major focus. The earbuds use Anker’s AI-powered call processing chip, designed to separate the user’s voice from background noise. A feature called Whisper Mode is also included, allowing the earbuds to pick up quiet speech more clearly so users can speak softly while still being understood during calls.
Battery life is rated at up to eight hours on a single charge, with the charging case extending total playback time to 32 hours. Fast charging is also supported, with a 10-minute charge delivering up to four hours of listening time. The case supports wireless charging, adding convenience for users who already rely on charging pads or multi-device wireless chargers.
The AeroClip 2 also includes Bluetooth 6.0, giving the earbuds a more future-ready wireless connection. While the real-world benefits will depend on device support, the inclusion of the latest Bluetooth standard helps position the earbuds as a modern premium audio product.
The Anker soundcore AeroClip 2 will go on sale on September 22 for 179.99 euros, which is approximately $208. The earbuds will be available through Anker, Amazon, and retail stores.
Anker is also preparing a more advanced version called the AeroClip 2 Pro, scheduled to launch in January 2027. The Pro model will add several productivity-focused features, including one-tap recording, on-device note-taking, and up to eight hours of local audio storage.
The upcoming AeroClip 2 Pro will also allow users to search recordings using natural language questions and generate automatic summaries. These features could make the Pro version especially appealing to students, journalists, meeting-heavy professionals, and anyone who regularly records conversations or voice notes.
Pricing for the AeroClip 2 Pro has not yet been announced.
With the AeroClip 2, Anker is clearly targeting users who want a blend of comfort, situational awareness, stronger wireless audio, and smart call handling. The addition of LDAC, a 12 mm driver, AI noise reduction, Whisper Mode, long battery life, and wireless charging makes it one of the more feature-rich open-ear earbuds launching this year.
