A recent buzz in the tech world highlights that three of Anker’s existing cables reportedly support a groundbreaking 150W charging protocol. This advancement promises to significantly reduce charging times for some of Anker’s power banks. For this to work, users will need not just the compatible cables but also a suitable Anker charger.
Anker’s innovation is set to be featured in two anticipated products: the Prime 26K Power Bank and the Prime 50K Power Bank, both delivering impressive capabilities. The new 150W (28V⎓5.36A) protocol can be utilized with specific existing Anker cables, as identified by AnkerInsider, a trusted source in the industry.
To make full use of this powerful charging feature, users need both the specialized cables and a compatible Anker charger. One such device is the upcoming Prime 3-Port 160W Wall Charger with Smart Display. Without these, the power banks can utilize only up to 140W (28V⎓5A) on a single port.
The release date for Anker’s new power banks, which support this high-speed charging, remains undisclosed. However, the excitement around this technology showcases Anker’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of charging innovation.
