Amazfit is starting to roll out a fresh software update for its Active 3 Premium smartwatch, bringing smarter map tools, smoother navigation, and wider access to entertainment apps. This marks the second update for the recently launched wearable, following an earlier release that arrived shortly after the watch first went on sale.
The new firmware, version 3.10.0.5, focuses heavily on navigation and route planning. One of the most practical changes is how the watch handles “off-route” alerts. The update adjusts the sensitivity of the trigger that detects when you’ve strayed from your planned path, helping reduce unnecessary warnings while still keeping guidance useful. Amazfit has also fine-tuned how quickly turn-by-turn notifications appear, which should make directions feel more responsive when you’re walking, running, or cycling with a mapped route.
Mapping gets a noticeable boost too. With this update, the Active 3 Premium adds support for more detailed topographic maps, including improved contour line precision. For anyone who trains outdoors, hikes, or explores unfamiliar routes, clearer terrain details can make navigation easier at a glance.
Beyond maps, the update expands the availability of the Music and Podcasts apps to more countries, with at least one user in the EU confirming the wider rollout. That means more owners can use the watch for listening on the go, depending on regional availability.
Amazfit is also refining the watch’s sleep tracking, noting improvements to the sleep algorithm. While details on what specifically changed aren’t fully spelled out in the brief notes shared by users, this type of update typically aims to improve sleep stage detection and overall consistency of overnight tracking.
Firmware version 3.10.0.5 is rolling out in phases, so it may not appear for every Amazfit Active 3 Premium user at the same time. If you don’t see it immediately, it’s likely still making its way through the staged release process.
