Amazfit T-Rex 3 levels up with advanced running metrics and expanded keyboard options

Amazfit T-Rex 3 users are getting a fresh software update, version 3.10.4.1, focused on smarter training insights and everyday usability. Rolling out in phases via the Zepp app, this release adds new running dynamics, expands map features to more sports, improves altitude accuracy, and brings extra keyboard options. It is not the anticipated Zepp OS 5.0 upgrade, and the BioCharge feature remains unavailable for now.

What’s new in T-Rex 3 software version 3.10.4.1:
– Running dynamics: three new metrics help you assess and improve running efficiency:
– Ground contact time: how long each foot stays on the ground. Shorter contact often indicates a quicker, more efficient stride.
– Vertical movement (vertical oscillation): how much you bounce up and down. Less vertical motion usually means more energy going forward.
– Vertical ratio: compares vertical movement to stride length to gauge efficiency.
These metrics are available for Outdoor Running, Treadmill, and Track Running. You can enable them from the activity screen by going to Settings > More > Data Pages > Edit Data > Step Class.
– Expanded map tools: map view and route navigation now work with more activities, including Outdoor Skating, Sailing, and Rowing.
– More accurate elevation: the barometric elevation calculator has been tuned for better accuracy, especially in daily activity tracking.
– New keyboard layouts: QWERTZ and AZERTY are now supported. The ABC keyboard also gains special characters for Spanish, Italian, French, and Portuguese.
– General stability: the update includes various bug fixes and optimizations.

This follows the July update (version 3.9.4.4), which introduced the HYROX Training workout and a Zoom feature. If you don’t see version 3.10.4.1 yet, keep an eye on the Zepp app as the rollout is staged by region and device.
