A fresh software update is now rolling out for the Amazfit Balance 2 smartwatch, and early reports from users suggest it brings a solid mix of new fitness tools, BioCharge improvements, and everyday usability upgrades. The previous Balance 2 firmware (version 3.30.0.2) landed in late October 2025, and this new release follows a similar update that recently appeared on the more affordable Balance XT.
The latest Amazfit Balance 2 update, version 3.35.0.5, introduces two new workout modes designed for people who train outdoors or want more accurate workout tracking. The first is Rucking, which lets you log the weight of your backpack for more relevant metrics during weighted walks and hikes. The second is Mountain hiking, aimed at better supporting elevation-focused activities and off-road adventures.
Energy tracking also gets a boost through new BioCharge features. Users are now seeing a BioCharge trend chart, making it easier to follow changes in energy levels over time, along with a new Morning card that provides a daily snapshot of your energy state. These additions are built to help Balance 2 owners understand recovery and readiness at a glance, especially when paired with consistent sleep and activity tracking.
Beyond workouts and health insights, this firmware adds a new Silent icon inside the Control Center, making it quicker to spot or manage quiet mode settings.
One of the most practical additions may be a brand-new screenshot shortcut. With version 3.35.0.5 installed, Amazfit Balance 2 users can take a screenshot by pressing the crown and the lower button at the same time. The watch automatically saves captured images to the connected smartphone, making it easier to share settings screens, training data, or watch faces without needing workarounds.
Zepp Health also includes several quality-of-life fixes and optimizations. Activity reminders have been adjusted to resolve a problem that could trigger unexpected notifications. The Outdoor Run algorithm has been optimized for better energy efficiency, which could help with battery performance during longer sessions. The Portuguese language mode has also been improved.
Weather tracking is getting attention too, with an updated data source and improved refresh logic intended to make forecasts and conditions more reliable. Map icons have been enhanced for clearer navigation visuals. Another small but welcome interface change: clearing all notifications in the Notification Center will no longer automatically kick you back to the watch face, which should make managing alerts feel smoother.
Software version 3.35.0.5 is expected to roll out in phases for the Amazfit Balance 2, beginning in regions such as China, the United States, and Canada, with wider availability following in the coming weeks. Once it reaches your area, you can install it through the Zepp app by manually checking for updates.
