Amazfit Bip Max firmware update 3.8.0.1 adds BioCharge tools, new sports modes, and map improvements
Amazfit is rolling out a new software update for the Bip Max smartwatch, bringing a fresh set of fitness, recovery, and usability upgrades to the recently launched wearable. The latest firmware version, 3.8.0.1, is now making its way to users after the watch debuted earlier in May 2026 with firmware version 3.3.0.1.
The Amazfit Bip Max already arrived with several training-focused features, including Hybrid Training, official marathon training plans, and a Training Calendar. With the new update, those additions are being joined by more advanced tools aimed at runners, outdoor athletes, and users who want better insight into their daily readiness.
One of the biggest additions in firmware version 3.8.0.1 is expanded BioCharge support. Amazfit is adding a morning status card directly to the watch’s home screen, making it easier for users to check their daily energy and recovery status at a glance. The update also introduces BioCharge trend charts, allowing users to review historical data and better understand how their body responds to workouts, rest, and daily activity over time.
The update also adds a selection of professional running courses, giving Bip Max owners more structured training options. This should be especially useful for users preparing for races or trying to improve endurance, pace, and consistency.
Another notable addition is Pickleball 2.0, an upgraded sports mode for one of the fastest-growing recreational sports. With this new mode, users can track pickleball sessions more effectively and get more relevant workout data from their time on the court.
Amazfit is also adding support for Gear Management. This feature allows users to monitor mileage and usage for running gear, cycling equipment, and connected sensors. For runners, this can help track shoe mileage and know when it may be time to replace a pair. Cyclists can also benefit by keeping tabs on equipment use and maintenance needs.
Outdoor navigation is getting better as well. Firmware version 3.8.0.1 reportedly improves the detail level of topographic maps, which should make routes, terrain, and elevation-related information easier to read during outdoor activities.
A smaller but useful change is the increased screen-on duration. After installing the update, the Amazfit Bip Max display can stay on for up to 15 seconds, giving users more time to check workout stats, notifications, maps, and health data without needing to wake the screen repeatedly.
The Amazfit Bip Max firmware version 3.8.0.1 appears to be rolling out in phases, so not every user will receive it at the same time. Once it becomes available in your region, you should be able to download and install the update through the Zepp app on iOS or Android.
With this update, the Amazfit Bip Max becomes a more capable smartwatch for training, recovery tracking, outdoor navigation, and everyday health monitoring. For users who rely on their smartwatch for running, cycling, pickleball, or general fitness, firmware version 3.8.0.1 brings several meaningful improvements that make the device more useful day to day.
