Alienware AW3926QW 39-Inch 5K2K OLED Monitor Expands to Asia With Major Price Differences
Dell has expanded availability of the Alienware AW3926QW, its new 39-inch 5K2K OLED gaming monitor, across several Asian markets. The launch gives high-end PC gamers and creators another ultra-wide OLED option, but pricing varies dramatically depending on the country.
The Alienware AW3926QW is now listed in markets including Japan, South Korea, China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. While the monitor’s specifications are the same across regions, buyers will see very different price tags.
In Taiwan, the AW3926QW is priced at NTD 74,999, which is roughly $2,351. Mainland China follows at CNY 12,999, or around $1,914, while Hong Kong pricing sits at HK$13,998, approximately $1,785.
Japan and South Korea, however, are getting much more competitive pricing. In Japan, the monitor costs 191,980 yen, which is about $1,186 including tax. In South Korea, it is listed at 1,897,500 won, or around $1,222 including VAT. Those prices are much closer to the expected U.S. price, which has been rumored to be around $1,099 before taxes.
The Alienware AW3926QW is one of Dell’s most interesting gaming monitors this year because it combines a large 39-inch curved OLED panel with a sharp 5120 x 2160 resolution, commonly referred to as 5K2K. That gives users far more horizontal workspace than a standard 4K display, making it appealing not only for gaming but also for video editing, multitasking, and content creation.
The monitor uses a 4th-generation Primary RGB Tandem OLED panel from LG Display. One of its key advantages is its pure RGB subpixel layout, which is designed to improve text clarity and reduce color fringing. That could make it more comfortable for productivity tasks compared with some earlier OLED monitors that struggled with text sharpness.
Dell has also chosen a glossy screen finish for the Alienware AW3926QW. This should help deliver richer contrast and a more vibrant image, especially in controlled lighting conditions. It differs from some competing OLED monitors that use matte coatings to reduce reflections.
For gaming, the AW3926QW offers a native 165Hz refresh rate at its full 5120 x 2160 resolution. It also includes a dual mode that can boost the refresh rate to 330Hz at a lower 2560 x 1080 resolution, giving competitive players the option to prioritize speed over sharpness.
Brightness is another highlight. The display can reach up to 330 nits of full-screen brightness and up to 1,300 nits peak brightness in HDR content. Combined with OLED’s deep blacks and near-instant pixel response times, the monitor is positioned as a premium choice for immersive gaming and HDR media.
Although the Alienware AW3926QW is now available in select Asian regions, Dell has not yet confirmed an exact release date for North America or Europe. For now, buyers outside Asia will have to wait for official availability details.
The biggest question surrounding the AW3926QW is pricing. If Dell brings the monitor to the U.S. near the rumored $1,099 pre-tax price, it could become a very attractive alternative in the growing 39-inch OLED gaming monitor category. However, if pricing lands closer to what buyers are seeing in Taiwan or China, it may face tougher competition.
With its 5K2K resolution, 165Hz OLED panel, 330Hz dual mode, glossy finish, and improved RGB subpixel layout, the Alienware AW3926QW looks like a strong option for gamers who want a wide, high-resolution display without sacrificing refresh rate or image quality.
