AIDA64 Extreme Welcomes Radeon RX 7400 and Intel BMG-G31, Plus the Latest PCIe 7.0 Innovations

The hardware world is buzzing with excitement as AIDA64 Extreme introduces support for some intriguing new components. The latest update has confirmed the addition of the Radeon RX 7400 GPU with the Navi 33 architecture, as well as Intel’s upcoming Battlemage GPU powered by the BMG-G31 chip.

AIDA64, a popular tool for hardware monitoring, has expanded its list to include these highly anticipated GPUs. This marks the second time the software has spotlighted an RDNA 3 entry-level GPU. With the release of version 7.99.7817, the software now officially supports the unannounced AMD Radeon RX 7400. While we’ve previously discussed AMD’s entry-level RX 7000 series, the RX 7400 is a fresh addition alongside the RX 7300.

According to the release notes, the RX 7400 will feature the NAVI 33 die, and there’s another GPU variant, the Radeon PRO W7400, targeting the professional workstation segment. Furthermore, Intel’s Battlemage “BMG-G31” has also been added, which is set to power the anticipated Arc B770.

The Arc B770 is expected to boast 24-32 Xe2 cores and 16 GB of GDDR6 memory with a 256-bit memory bus. Recently hinted at by a new PCI-SIG addition, this GPU will be the first from Battlemage to include a PCIe 5.0 x16 interface. Additionally, AIDA64 has preemptively added support for PCIe 7.0 controllers and devices, even though actual hardware with this standard may still be years away. The industry is yet to fully transition to PCIe 5.0, with PCIe 6.0 devices like SSDs expected by 2030.

While the addition of these GPUs to AIDA64’s database doesn’t guarantee an imminent release, history suggests that such components take about a year to hit the shelves. However, the RX 7400, RX 7300, and BMG-G31 might enter the market sooner than expected.

Stay tuned for further developments on these exciting GPU launches.
