Affordable Titanium Smartwatch Rival to Garmin Fenix 8: Built-In Maps and Dive-Ready Features

Mibro is putting a spotlight on outdoor-focused smartwatches with its new GS Explorer S-Ti Premium, a rugged wearable designed to compete with high-end adventure watches like the Garmin Fenix 8 series, but at a much lower price. The new model leans heavily into durability and navigation features, aiming at hikers, travelers, and anyone who wants a tough smartwatch that can handle harsh conditions.

The Mibro GS Explorer S-Ti line comes in two versions. The Premium edition is priced at $349, while the standard model costs $249. The key difference is the strap: the cheaper version skips the titanium bracelet. Even so, Mibro says both variants incorporate titanium, a material known for being lightweight yet strong, and commonly chosen for wearables built to resist everyday wear, scratches, and accidental bumps.

One of the biggest selling points is offline navigation. The smartwatch includes internal storage that lets users download maps directly to the watch, making it possible to navigate even without a connected smartphone. For outdoor athletes, that can be a practical advantage when hiking in remote areas or traveling where phone signal is unreliable. Location tracking is handled by a dual-frequency GPS module, which is intended to deliver quicker lock-on times and more accurate positioning compared to basic GPS solutions.

Health and fitness features are also part of the package. Optical sensors support heart rate monitoring, blood oxygen (SpO2) measurement, and sleep tracking, covering the essentials many users expect from a modern fitness smartwatch. On the display side, the GS Explorer S-Ti uses a 1.32-inch AMOLED screen with a 466 x 466 resolution, along with up to 1,500 nits of peak brightness to improve readability outdoors in bright sunlight.

Battery life is another area where Mibro is making a strong claim. Typical usage is listed at up to 20 days, which is the kind of endurance outdoor users often prefer over watches that need to be charged every couple of days.

Mibro is also pushing dive-related functions. The GS Explorer S-Ti is said to support diving to depths of up to 98 feet and can show data such as current depth during a dive, along with certain on-screen warnings. As with any smartwatch-based dive features, users should be cautious about relying on these alerts alone for safety-critical situations, but the added dive tools may still be appealing for casual water activities and recreational use.

With titanium construction, offline maps, dual-frequency GPS, AMOLED brightness, long battery life, and a feature list aimed at outdoor adventure, the Mibro GS Explorer S-Ti positions itself as a budget-friendly alternative for buyers who want rugged smartwatch capabilities without paying premium flagship pricing.
