Affordable Mini PC with Intel Twin Lake CPU Launched by Minix

Minix has unveiled its latest mini PC, the NUC355, powered by the robust Intel Core 3 N355 processor from the Twin Lake series. This 8-core system offers a significant upgrade over models featuring the Intel N150. Notably, the NUC355 boasts an impressive integrated graphics unit, the UHD Graphics with 32 EUs, promising enhanced media consumption and light gaming experiences compared to the N150’s 24 EUs.

The NUC355 comes in a single configuration, combining the Core 3 N355 with 16 GB of DDR5-4800 RAM and 512 GB of PCIe 3.0 storage. Although Minix hasn’t specified if the memory is upgradeable, the system can support up to 4 TB of storage.

In terms of connectivity, the NUC355 is well-equipped. It includes three USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, two HDMI ports, two USB 3.2 Type-C ports, an RJ45 Ethernet port, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. One of the USB Type-C ports is a versatile, full-function port supporting DisplayPort and Power Delivery. The mini PC’s compact design, measuring just 117 x 111 x 36 mm, makes it perfect for tight spaces.

Additional features include WiFi 6, support for triple-display output, and Bluetooth 5.2. Priced at $399, Minix is yet to announce the availability date for the NUC355. This release highlights Minix’s commitment to delivering efficient, space-saving computing solutions.
