Acer Unveils 16-Inch Laptop with Intel Arc B390 Graphics and 24-Hour Battery Life

Acer Aspire X 16 Debuts With Intel Core Ultra X9, Arc B390 Graphics, and a 2.8K OLED Display

Acer has introduced the Aspire X 16, a slim 16-inch laptop that combines a high-end Intel processor, dedicated Intel Arc graphics, and a premium OLED screen in a lightweight body. Designed for users who want a balance of performance, portability, and visual quality, the new Aspire X 16 stands out as one of Acer’s more interesting productivity-focused laptops.

At the heart of the Aspire X 16 is the Intel Core Ultra X9 388H processor, paired with Intel Arc B390 graphics. This combination gives the laptop enough power for everyday multitasking, creative workloads, streaming, office work, and light content creation. While it is not positioned as a full gaming machine, the inclusion of Arc B390 graphics should offer a stronger visual performance than typical integrated graphics solutions.

One of the biggest highlights is the 16-inch 2.8K OLED display. Acer says the panel reaches up to 500 nits of peak brightness in SDR mode, making it suitable for indoor and bright-room use. The display also supports a 120 Hz refresh rate, which should make scrolling, animations, and general navigation feel smoother. With 100% DCI-P3 color coverage, the screen is also aimed at users who value accurate and vibrant colors, including photo editors, video creators, designers, and entertainment fans.

Battery life is another major selling point. Acer rates the Aspire X 16 for up to 24 hours of video playback, thanks to its 84 Wh battery. Real-world battery life will depend on brightness levels, workload, wireless connectivity, and performance settings, but the large battery capacity should make it a strong option for users who need a laptop that can last through a long workday.

Despite its 16-inch display and sizable battery, the Aspire X 16 remains relatively portable. The laptop weighs around 1.6 kg and measures 354.7 x 250.4 x 10.02–15.9 mm. That makes it thin enough for a backpack and light enough for users who regularly move between home, office, school, or travel environments.

For now, the Aspire X 16 appears to be available with 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD. Acer previously indicated that higher-end configurations could arrive with up to 32 GB of RAM and a 2 TB SSD. Other processor options, including the Core Ultra 5 338H and Core Ultra X7 358H, were also mentioned earlier, suggesting that Acer may expand the lineup over time.

Compared with Acer’s Swift 16 models that have carried similar processor options in some regions, the Aspire X 16 appears to offer a more affordable route to Intel Core Ultra X9 performance. In fact, the Aspire X 16 is positioned around 15% cheaper than the earlier Swift 16 configuration featuring the same Core Ultra X9 388H processor when it launched in the US.

Overall, the Acer Aspire X 16 looks like a compelling choice for anyone searching for a 16-inch OLED laptop with strong performance, long battery life, and a slim design. With its Core Ultra X9 chip, Intel Arc B390 graphics, 2.8K OLED display, and lightweight build, it could appeal to students, professionals, creators, and everyday users who want a modern laptop without stepping into premium workstation pricing.
