Acer has introduced its latest laptop offerings, including the impressively lightweight Swift Edge 16 and the updated Swift Go 14, both equipped with OLED displays and powered by the latest AMD Ryzen 8000 series processors.
The Swift Edge 16, with its slender profile, tips the scales at just 2.71 pounds, setting a new standard for portable, yet powerful devices. Beneath its sleek exterior, the laptop is powered by an AMD Ryzen 9 8940HS processor coupled with Radeon 780M graphics, delivering top-notch performance for both work and play. Despite its light frame, this 16-inch laptop does not sacrifice battery longevity, featuring a moderate 54-Wh battery that supports fast charging through its USB-C port.
On the other hand, the Swift Go 14 receives a significant upgrade, moving away from its Ryzen 7000 and Intel Meteor Lake predecessors to adopt the powerful AMD Ryzen 9 8940HS processor. Weighing 2.91 pounds, the Swift Go 14 is marginally heavier than the Swift Edge 16, but it packs a larger 65-Wh battery capable of being charged at up to 100 watts. The display is another highlight, as the Swift Go 14 boasts a 90-Hz OLED screen with 2880 x 1800 resolution, ensuring vivid imagery and fluid motion. The device also includes features such as USB 4, HDMI 2.1 compatibility, up to 32 GB of RAM, and storage options up to a 2 TB SSD.
Both models are set to be available in the North American market, with the Acer Swift Edge 16 (SFE16-44) launching in March at a starting price of $1299.99, and the Acer Swift Go 14 (SFG14-63) following in April, starting at $699.99. It’s worth noting that the base model of the 14-inch Swift Go will feature an IPS display, as opposed to an OLED panel.
With these new introductions, Acer is poised to offer consumers cutting-edge technology combined with portability.
