Acemagic W1-5400U mini PC debuts with AMD Ryzen 3 power and a compact 0.68-liter design
Acemagic has introduced a new compact desktop in China, the Acemagic W1-5400U. Aimed at budget-conscious users, this mini PC is built around AMD’s Ryzen 3 5400U processor, suggesting it could arrive as an affordable option for home offices, everyday computing, and light entertainment.
The Ryzen 3 5400U is not a new chip, having originally launched in 2021 as part of AMD’s Cezanne family. Even so, the quad-core processor still has enough performance for common daily tasks such as web browsing, document editing, video streaming, online meetings, and basic multitasking. It is not designed for demanding creative workloads or modern high-end gaming, but for users who need a small and efficient Windows mini PC, it could be a practical choice.
Graphics are handled by the integrated Radeon RX Vega 6 GPU. While this integrated graphics solution is modest compared to newer AMD and Intel iGPUs, it can still manage media playback, general display output, and some lightweight games. It also supports DirectX 12 Feature Level 12_1, which helps maintain compatibility with a range of older and less demanding titles.
One of the biggest selling points of the Acemagic W1-5400U is its small footprint. The chassis measures just 0.68 liters, making it easy to place on a desk, mount near a monitor, or use in compact workspaces where a traditional desktop tower would be too large. Despite the tiny body, Acemagic says the system supports two storage drives, with each drive capable of handling up to an 8TB SSD. That gives the mini PC impressive storage expansion potential for its size.
The front I/O also appears practical for everyday use. Promotional images show two USB-A ports and one USB-C port on the front, making it convenient to connect flash drives, accessories, external storage, or other peripherals. The design appears nearly identical to the higher-end W1 model equipped with the Ryzen 7 H 255, which suggests the new Ryzen 3 version may share a similar cooling system and rear port layout.
Acemagic has not yet confirmed official pricing or wider availability for the W1-5400U. However, because it uses an older entry-level AMD processor, the mini PC is expected to launch at a competitive price. Since other W1 configurations are already sold outside China, there is a strong chance that the Ryzen 3 5400U model may eventually become available in global markets as well.
For buyers looking for an affordable AMD mini PC for office work, streaming, browsing, and basic productivity, the Acemagic W1-5400U could be worth watching. Its combination of a compact 0.68-liter chassis, dual SSD support, and budget-focused Ryzen hardware may make it an appealing choice for users who want a small desktop without spending too much.
