8BitDo Pro 3 Launches in the US: European and UK Fans Await October Arrival

The 8BitDo Pro 3 Bluetooth GamePad has finally made its debut and is now available for purchase in the US in three stylish colors: G Classic, Gray, and Purple. After weeks of anticipation, gamers in the US can snag this new controller on Amazon or through 8BitDo’s eShop. However, fans in Europe and the UK will have to exercise a bit more patience before they can get their hands on it.

The release of the 8BitDo Pro 3 marks four years since the launch of its predecessor, the 8BitDo Pro 2. Since its pre-order began on July 15, eager gamers have been waiting nearly a month for the official release. Priced at $69.99, the Pro 3 is currently listed as out of stock on Amazon, but you can still place an order and await a delivery confirmation. The eShop suggests shipments will begin on August 30.

For those across the pond, the controller is priced at £59.99 on Amazon UK with a release date set for October 10. Similarly, those in Germany will see it on Amazon.de for €69.99 with the same release timeline.

The 8BitDo Pro 3 introduces several exciting upgrades, including TMR joysticks, swappable magnetic ABXY buttons, extra bumper buttons, and Hall Effect triggers. These can be switched to non-linear tactile triggers, offering customization for gaming enthusiasts. Additionally, the Pro 3 is designed to be compatible with a range of devices, including the Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, and more.

While this new model supports a 2.4GHz connection and comes with a matching charging dock, its battery isn’t removable like in the previous Pro 2 version. However, its broad compatibility with Android, Windows, Apple devices, and full support for SteamOS continues to make it a versatile choice for gamers everywhere.
