Xiaomi is reportedly gearing up to launch a compact smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 8s Elite, according to popular tech insider Digital Chat Station. This forthcoming device is anticipated to be part of the Xiaomi Civi lineup, potentially the Civi 5 Pro, based on some intriguing hints about its features.
The Snapdragon 8s Elite promises to deliver enhanced performance, and Xiaomi appears set to be among the pioneering brands to integrate this chipset into their devices. Digital Chat Station indicates that this new model will boast dual front cameras, a characteristic feature of the Xiaomi Civi series, reinforcing speculations that the Civi 5 Pro might be in the works.
The Xiaomi Civi range is well-regarded for its innovative camera systems, and this new release is expected to continue the tradition with advancements such as “image co-branding.” This aligns with previous iterations, like the Civi 4 Pro, which was the first in the series to collaborate with Leica for its camera technology.
Regarding the display, the informant hints that the new phone will sport a smaller screen, possibly around the size of 6.36 inches or less, potentially making it a standout in the current market of large-screen devices. Additionally, the screen is said to be a 1.5K resolution, quad-curved design, offering an immersive viewing experience.
While the exact release date remains a mystery, there is speculation that if the device is indeed the Civi 5 Pro, it might be introduced to the global market under a different name, perhaps as the Xiaomi 15 Civi. Tech enthusiasts will be keeping a close eye on updates as Xiaomi continues to innovate with this promising addition to their smartphone lineup.
