Xiaomi’s Redmi K100 Series Leak Teases First Look at Next-Gen Upgrades

Fresh details about Xiaomi’s next wave of Redmi flagships are starting to surface, and early leaks suggest the Redmi K100 series is already taking shape behind the scenes. Set to follow the Redmi K90 lineup that debuted in China in October 2025, this new generation is expected to continue Redmi’s pattern of offering near-flagship performance at aggressive pricing—powered once again by high-end Qualcomm Snapdragon processors.

According to the latest leak, two models in the Redmi K100 family have now been identified by both codenames and internal model numbers. The standard Redmi K100 is reportedly known as “Athens” with the model identifier “Q11.” Meanwhile, the top-tier Redmi K100 Pro Max appears under the codename “Songyuan” and carries the model number “Q11X.” While these names don’t reveal hardware specs directly, they’re often an early sign that development is active and that testers and firmware builds may soon start appearing.

Performance is expected to be the big headline again. The leak claims both phones will use Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets, matching what Redmi has been doing with this series for years. Typically, Redmi positions the base “K” model with a slightly older flagship-class Snapdragon processor, while the Pro or Pro Max variant lands the newest top-end silicon available at launch. That approach helps keep the standard model’s price more competitive while letting the premium version chase maximum speed and prestige.

If Xiaomi sticks to its usual schedule, the Redmi K100 series will likely arrive toward the end of the year—because the Redmi K line is commonly refreshed in the final quarter. And if recent strategy continues, these phones may not remain China-only for long.

Globally, the Redmi K series often reappears under Xiaomi’s Poco branding, and the same rebrand path is expected for the K100 lineup. The current expectation is that the Redmi K100 could launch internationally as the Poco F9 Pro, while the Redmi K100 Pro Max may be introduced as the Poco F9 Ultra. For buyers outside China, that could mean another pair of performance-first Poco phones built on Redmi’s flagship foundations.

For now, these are early leaked identifiers rather than full specifications, but they’re a strong hint that the Redmi K100 and K100 Pro Max are on the way—and that Snapdragon-powered Poco F9 models could follow not long after.
