Xiaomi Teases Major Redmi Launch for ChinaJoy 2026, Possibly the Redmi K100 Series
Xiaomi is preparing to make a big splash at ChinaJoy 2026, and all signs point to a major Redmi device reveal. The company has confirmed that its Redmi brand will attend the event, which is scheduled to take place from July 31 to August 3 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre.
Redmi has announced that it will unveil a “major new product” during the show, instantly sparking speculation among smartphone fans. While Xiaomi has not officially revealed the device’s name, early clues suggest it could be part of the upcoming Redmi K100 series.
The teaser image released by Xiaomi appears to show a smartphone with a wide horizontal camera module on the back. The device will be displayed at booth N5-02 inside the Snapdragon pavilion, which strongly hints that the new Redmi product may be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset.
Although official specifications are still under wraps, industry rumors suggest the mystery phone could be the Redmi K100 Pro. If true, this would make it the successor to the Redmi K90 lineup, which launched in October 2025 as a premium smartphone series. The Redmi K90 family included the standard Redmi K90 and the higher-end Redmi K90 Pro Max.
The rumored Redmi K100 Pro is already shaping up to be a powerful flagship-style device. Leaks claim it may feature a 185Hz OLED display, offering exceptionally smooth visuals for gaming, scrolling, and everyday use. This would make the phone especially appealing to mobile gamers, which fits well with its expected reveal at ChinaJoy, one of China’s biggest gaming and digital entertainment events.
Performance could be another major highlight. The Redmi K100 Pro is rumored to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, the same high-end processor expected in top-tier Xiaomi devices. If accurate, the phone could deliver flagship-grade speed, improved graphics performance, and better power efficiency.
Battery life may also be a key selling point. The device is said to pack a massive battery of around 8,500mAh, which would be significantly larger than what is found in many current flagship smartphones. Wireless charging support is also expected, with leaks pointing to 50W wireless charging.
Camera performance could receive a major upgrade as well. The Redmi K100 Pro is rumored to include a 200MP main camera, positioning it as a strong option for users who want high-resolution photography in a performance-focused smartphone.
For now, Xiaomi has not confirmed whether the device being teased is indeed the Redmi K100 Pro or another model in the Redmi K100 series. However, the Snapdragon pavilion placement, gaming-focused event timing, and premium-looking teaser image all suggest that Redmi is preparing to introduce a powerful new smartphone.
Alongside the Redmi K100 rumors, Xiaomi’s Poco lineup is also gaining attention, as two new Poco F9 series smartphones have reportedly received multiple certifications. This suggests Xiaomi may be preparing several major smartphone launches in the near future.
More details are expected once ChinaJoy 2026 begins at the end of July. Until then, the upcoming Redmi launch remains one of the most interesting Xiaomi smartphone reveals to watch, especially for users looking for a high-performance Android phone with a large battery, fast display, powerful Snapdragon processor, and upgraded camera hardware.
