Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro leak points to a bigger 12.5-inch display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 power, and 11,000mAh battery
Xiaomi’s next-generation tablet lineup is starting to take shape, and the latest leak suggests the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro could be a major upgrade over its predecessor. The company has already confirmed that its flagship Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max is scheduled to launch in September 2026, featuring Xiaomi’s own Xring O3 chipset. Now, fresh details hint that the regular Pro model may also bring serious high-end hardware.
According to well-known Weibo tipster Digital Chat Station, an upcoming Xiaomi tablet, believed to be the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro, will feature a 12.5-inch LCD display. That would make it noticeably larger than the current Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro, which uses an 11.2-inch panel. The display is also tipped to offer a sharp “3.2K” resolution and a refresh rate of up to 144Hz, making it suitable for smooth scrolling, gaming, multitasking, and media playback.
Performance could be another major highlight. The Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro is expected to run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. This 3nm processor is said to include eight Oryon CPU cores along with an Adreno 829 GPU, positioning the tablet as a powerful option for demanding apps, gaming, productivity, and creative workloads.
Battery life also appears to be getting a boost. The leak claims the Pad 9 Pro will pack an 11,000mAh battery with support for 67W wired fast charging. That would be a meaningful increase over the Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro’s 9,200mAh battery, while keeping the same charging speed.
If these leaked specifications are accurate, the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro could become one of the most competitive Android tablets in its class. A larger high-resolution 144Hz display, flagship-grade Snapdragon hardware, and a bigger battery would make it appealing to users looking for a premium tablet for entertainment, work, and gaming.
