Xiaomi’s Next Powerhouse May Pack 100W Charging and a Huge 10,000mAh Battery

Xiaomi Redmi K100 leak points to 100W charging and a huge battery

A new Xiaomi 5G phone has appeared in China’s 3C certification database, and early signs suggest it could be the standard Redmi K100. The device carries the model number M786BC and is listed with support for 100W fast charging, making it one of the more interesting upcoming Redmi phones to watch.

The certification itself does not reveal much beyond the charging speed and model number. It does not confirm the chipset, camera setup, display specifications, or battery capacity. However, known tipster Digital Chat Station has claimed that this device is the regular Redmi K100, adding more fuel to speculation around Xiaomi’s next performance-focused smartphone.

If the leak is accurate, the Redmi K100 could bring the same 100W wired charging support found on the Redmi K100 Pro and Redmi K100 Pro Max. Those two models were introduced in China on August 11, and Xiaomi had already suggested that the K100 lineup would include multiple versions: the Pro Max, Pro, standard model, and a gaming-focused flagship.

One of the biggest rumored highlights of the Redmi K100 is its battery. Earlier leaks suggested that the phone may pack a massive battery close to 10,000mAh. If true, that would make it stand out in a market where most flagship-style smartphones still sit far below that capacity. Combined with 100W fast charging, the device could appeal strongly to heavy users, mobile gamers, travelers, and anyone who wants longer battery life without waiting too long to recharge.

The Redmi K100 is also rumored to feature a flat display measuring around 6.8 to 6.9 inches. The screen could support an ultra-high refresh rate of up to 185Hz, which would put it above many current gaming and flagship phones. A high refresh rate display can make scrolling, animations, and gaming feel smoother, especially when paired with powerful internal hardware.

Performance may come from Qualcomm’s original Snapdragon 8 Elite platform, according to leaked information. The phone is also said to use a 1.5K resolution panel, which could offer a balance between sharp visuals and power efficiency. Other rumored features include a dedicated gaming display chip, symmetrical dual speakers, a large linear vibration motor, a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, and IP68-rated dust and water resistance.

Another tipster, Smart Pikachu, has suggested that Redmi may be planning to launch the standard K100 near the end of October. The same source claims the phone could offer dual-chip Snapdragon performance, a very large battery, an ultra-high refresh rate screen, and audio tuned by Bose.

For comparison, the Redmi K100 Pro comes with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 variant, an 8,580mAh battery, and a starting price of ¥3,699, which is roughly $550. The Redmi K100 Pro Max uses the full Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, includes a 9,070mAh battery, and starts at ¥4,499, around $670. Both models feature 185Hz OLED displays and 50W wireless charging.

Xiaomi has not officially confirmed that model M786BC is the Redmi K100, so the details should still be treated as unofficial for now. Still, the combination of 100W charging, a possible near-10,000mAh battery, a high-refresh-rate display, and Snapdragon-level performance makes the rumored Redmi K100 one of the most exciting upcoming Xiaomi phones of the year.
