Xiaomi Unveils Safer 20,000mAh Power Banks With Built-In Cables and 67W Fast Charging

Xiaomi Launches New 20,000mAh Power Banks With Built-In Cables and Faster Charging

Xiaomi has introduced two new 20,000mAh power banks in China, expanding its latest lineup of portable chargers built with stronger safety protections and faster charging speeds. The new models are the Xiaomi Power Bank 20000 67W with Built-in Cable and the Xiaomi Power Bank 20000 45W with Built-in Cable.

Both power banks are designed for users who need reliable charging on the go, whether for smartphones, tablets, earbuds, handheld gaming devices, or even compatible laptops. With a large 20,000mAh capacity, these chargers are aimed at travelers, commuters, students, and professionals who want enough backup power to get through a full day or longer.

The biggest improvement over Xiaomi’s earlier 20,000mAh model is charging speed. The previous version topped out at 22.5W, while the new versions raise the maximum output to 45W and 67W. That means users can expect much quicker charging for supported devices. The 67W model, in particular, should be powerful enough to charge many USB-C laptops, making it a more versatile option for people who carry multiple devices.

A key convenience feature on both models is the built-in USB-C cable. This integrated cable also works as a lanyard, making the power bank easier to carry while reducing the need to pack an extra charging cable. In addition to the built-in cable, both models include USB-C and USB-A ports, allowing users to charge up to three devices at the same time.

While the two power banks share many features, there are a few differences. The 67W version comes with a smart display that shows the remaining battery capacity, giving users a clearer idea of how much power is left. The 45W model uses four LED indicators instead, offering a simpler way to check battery status.

Both models also support battery health monitoring through a web app when connected to a PC or laptop. This feature can help users keep track of the power bank’s condition over time, which is useful for anyone who depends on portable charging regularly.

Safety is another major focus of Xiaomi’s new power bank lineup. The company has been updating its portable charger range to meet China’s latest national safety standards for power banks. These newer requirements include tougher testing, such as needle-penetration tests, which are designed to improve resistance against overheating, fires, and explosions.

This added protection is especially important for high-capacity power banks, as they store a large amount of energy in a compact body. With the latest safety upgrades, Xiaomi’s new 20,000mAh models are built to be safer under demanding conditions, giving users more confidence when carrying them in bags, backpacks, or luggage.

The Xiaomi Power Bank 20000 67W with Built-in Cable is priced at 599 yuan, which is around $89. The Xiaomi Power Bank 20000 45W with Built-in Cable costs 499 yuan, or roughly $74. Both models are currently available in China.

Xiaomi has not yet confirmed whether these new 20,000mAh power banks will be released in global markets. However, given the strong demand for high-capacity USB-C power banks with built-in cables, an international launch could attract plenty of interest if the company decides to expand availability.
