Xiaomi has introduced the Mijia Smart Temperature and Humidity Meter 3 Pro, a new smart home sensor designed to give users more detailed control over indoor comfort and connected home automation.
The device goes beyond basic temperature and humidity monitoring by offering expanded connectivity through Xiaomi’s Bluetooth Mesh system. When paired with a compatible gateway, the meter can send real-time readings to the Mi Home app, allowing users to monitor indoor conditions, view long-term trends, and create automated smart home actions.
This means the Mijia Smart Temperature and Humidity Meter 3 Pro can do more than simply display room temperature and moisture levels. Users can set custom thresholds that trigger connected devices automatically. For example, a smart humidifier could turn on when the air becomes too dry, or an air conditioner could respond when the room gets too warm. This makes the 3 Pro a more advanced option compared to Xiaomi’s earlier Monitor 3 and 3 Mini models, which focus mainly on simpler temperature and humidity-based automation.
Power comes from a CR2450 battery, and Xiaomi claims the device can run for around one year before the battery needs replacing. That should make it a low-maintenance addition to bedrooms, living rooms, offices, nurseries, or any area where stable indoor air quality matters.
The Xiaomi Mijia Smart Temperature and Humidity Meter 3 Pro is currently available through crowdfunding in China via Xiaomi Youpin, priced at 114 yuan, or roughly $17. Xiaomi has not yet confirmed when the device will be released in other markets.
However, since previous Mijia temperature and humidity monitors have received wider launches outside China, there is a good chance the 3 Pro could eventually become available globally. For users already invested in Xiaomi’s smart home ecosystem, this new sensor could become a useful and affordable way to improve comfort, energy efficiency, and automated home control.
