Xiaomi Unveils HyperOS 2.0 with Phased Rollout Strategy in Three Waves

Amidst the buzz surrounding the launch of the Xiaomi 15, Xiaomi 15 Pro, and Xiaomi Pad 7 tablets, a significant development from the company is the introduction of HyperOS 2.0. This software update represents the latest evolution of Xiaomi’s operating system, following the initial launch of HyperOS as a replacement for MIUI, which was unveiled with the Xiaomi 14 series last year.

HyperOS 2.0 is set to refine and enhance the user experience mainly through AI innovations, which include features like AI Writing, AI Subtitles, AI Paintings, AI Sound Recognition, AI anti-fraud measures, and AI Translations. One standout feature is Xiaomi HyperConnect, designed to provide seamless file transfers between Xiaomi and Apple devices, a functionality that will likely attract users seeking cross-platform convenience.

Regarding the rollout schedule for HyperOS 2.0 in China, the newest devices from Xiaomi will come pre-equipped with this updated software. Among these are the Xiaomi 15 series, Xiaomi Pad 7 series, Xiaomi TV S Pro 2025, Xiaomi Watch S4, and the latest Mi Band 9. Existing device models will begin receiving the update starting in November. The first batch includes the Xiaomi 14 series, Mix Fold 4, Mix Flip, and Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro.

Following this, a second wave of updates is slated for December, encompassing the Xiaomi 13 series, Civi 4 Pro, Redmi K60 series, Redmi Note 14 series, Pad 6 Pro, Pad 6 Max, Redmi Pad Pro, and Redmi Pad Pro 5G, and Redmi Pad SE. The rollout will continue into the first half of 2025, bringing HyperOS 2.0 to a broad range of devices including the Xiaomi 12S series, Xiaomi 12 series, Mix Fold 2, Civi 3, Redmi K50 series, Redmi Note 13 and 12 series, Redmi Note 11T Pro, and various other Redmi series models.

This strategic rollout plan aims to ensure that a wide range of Xiaomi devices benefit from the innovative features of HyperOS 2.0, reinforcing the company’s commitment to improving user experience through software advancements.
