Xiaomi Unveils Five New Electric Scooter Models

Excitement is building as Xiaomi prepares to unveil its new Electric Scooter 5 series. Three models have emerged on the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TRDA) certification database in the United Arab Emirates, suggesting an imminent launch.

While the TRDA database listings are sparse on details, the three models—the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 5 (DDHBC35ZM), the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 5 Pro (DDHBC45ZM), and the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 5 Max (DDHBC40ZM)—promise to build upon the successes of the Electric Scooter 4 range. This follows the introduction of four new models earlier this year, such as the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 Pro Plus and the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 Lite (2nd Gen).

One standout from the Electric Scooter 4 series, the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 Pro (2nd Gen), boasts a 1,000W peak power motor, a top speed of 25 kph (~16 mph), and an impressive range of up to 60 km (~37 miles). With these robust features already setting a high bar, anticipation grows over what fresh enhancements and specifications the Electric Scooter 5 Pro might bring.

Pricing and launch dates remain a mystery for now. For reference, the Electric Scooter 4 Pro (2nd Gen) retails at €549.99 in Europe, which could hint at a similar price range for the new series.

It’s an exciting time for e-scooter enthusiasts as Xiaomi continues to innovate and expand its popular range. Stay tuned for more updates on this forthcoming release!
