Xiaomi Unveils an Updated Compact Smart Washing Machine for Modern Living

Xiaomi has quietly expanded its home appliance lineup in China with a fresh color option for its compact, built-in washer. The Xiaomi Mijia Washing Machine 10 kg (Ultra-Slim, Fully Built-in) first arrived earlier in 2026 in a gray finish, and it’s now available in a classic white version for shoppers who prefer a more traditional look in the laundry room.

Designed for modern apartments and streamlined kitchens, this 10 kg washing machine is built around an ultra-slim body that helps it blend into cabinetry. Xiaomi lists the depth at 516 mm (about 20.3 inches), which means it can fit neatly into a standard 600 mm (about 23.6 inches) cabinet installation, keeping the front profile clean and integrated. Despite the space-saving design, it still offers a roomy drum—525 mm (about 20.7 inches) wide—aimed at handling larger loads more comfortably.

Xiaomi is also positioning this model as a capable option for dealing with stubborn stains, particularly on white clothing. Users can pick from more than 20 wash programs depending on fabric and cleaning needs. For those who don’t want to fine-tune settings every time, a one-touch smart cycle is included. This automatic mode can weigh the laundry and then adjust wash time and water volume accordingly, helping simplify day-to-day use while potentially improving efficiency.

Smart home integration is another major part of the package. The Mijia Washing Machine supports HyperOS Connect, allowing it to work within Xiaomi’s broader connected home ecosystem. Owners can control and monitor the washer remotely through Xiaomi’s companion app, and it also supports Xiao AI voice commands for hands-free operation. If you’d rather keep things simple, Xiaomi includes an onboard display and a physical dial for adjusting settings directly on the machine.

Pricing is one of the most attention-grabbing details. In China, the new white version of the Xiaomi Mijia Washing Machine 10 kg (Ultra-Slim, Fully Built-in) is listed at CNY 1,199 (around $175). For now, Xiaomi hasn’t confirmed whether this specific built-in ultra-slim model will launch in additional regions. A wider rollout—including markets like Europe—remains uncertain at this time.
