Xiaomi Teases Book Pro 14 Debut Featuring Intel Panther Lake Power and a 120Hz OLED Display

Xiaomi has officially confirmed when its refreshed Xiaomi Book Pro 14 will arrive, and the wait won’t be long. The new model, built around Intel’s upcoming Panther Lake platform, is set to launch in China on March 19, 2026. With that date locked in, Xiaomi is also sharing more of the hardware details, giving laptop shoppers a clearer idea of what to expect from this premium 14-inch OLED notebook.

One of the biggest highlights is the display. The Xiaomi Book Pro 14 will feature a 14.6-inch OLED touchscreen with a “3.1K” resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Xiaomi says the panel can reach up to 1,600 nits peak brightness, positioning it as a strong option for users who want a vivid screen for creative work, entertainment, and everyday productivity. Between OLED contrast, high refresh, and high brightness, the screen looks like a core selling point for the 2026 refresh.

Xiaomi also leans into usability upgrades, confirming a large pressure-sensitive touchpad measuring 129 cm². For anyone who spends long hours working without a mouse, a bigger, more responsive touchpad can make a real difference—especially on a slim 14-inch laptop.

Storage flexibility is another area where the refreshed model looks competitive. Xiaomi says the Book Pro 14 includes dual M.2 slots and supports up to 4TB of NVMe SSD storage. That’s a notable spec for a compact laptop, appealing to power users who want high capacity without relying on external drives.

On the connectivity front, the port selection is relatively minimal, but it covers the essentials and includes a major upgrade that many buyers look for in a premium laptop: Thunderbolt 4. Xiaomi confirms the laptop will include a Thunderbolt 4 port for high-speed peripherals and expanded connectivity. Alongside that, it offers a 5Gbps USB-A port, a 10Gbps USB-C port, a 3.5mm audio jack, and an HDMI 2.1 port—useful for connecting high-resolution external displays.

Design-wise, Xiaomi is expanding the style options. Earlier teasers showed the laptop in Soft Mist Blue and Classic White, and now the company has revealed a new Soft Light Pink colorway. The added color option signals Xiaomi is targeting users who care about aesthetics as much as performance.

In terms of performance, Xiaomi has previously indicated the laptop can be configured up to an Intel Core Ultra X7 358H processor, paired with Intel Arc B390 integrated graphics. Xiaomi also claims a three-channel cooling system designed to sustain up to 50W of performance, suggesting the laptop is tuned for extended workloads rather than short bursts. Battery life is another key promise, with Xiaomi stating it should outperform Apple’s MacBook Pro M5 in endurance—an attention-grabbing claim that will be closely watched once independent testing is possible.

With a March 19, 2026 China launch now confirmed, the refreshed Xiaomi Book Pro 14 is shaping up to be a strong contender in the premium thin-and-light category, especially for buyers prioritizing an OLED touchscreen, Thunderbolt 4, and expandable NVMe storage. Global availability hasn’t been detailed yet, but more launch information is likely to follow after the China debut.
