Xiaomi 18 leak hints at dual 200MP cameras, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, and a huge 7,200mAh battery
Xiaomi appears to be preparing another major flagship launch, and this time the spotlight could be on the standard Xiaomi 18. While the company has already introduced Pro models powered by the next-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset family, the regular Xiaomi 18 was missing from the recent announcement. Now, fresh information suggests the base flagship may arrive soon with surprisingly strong hardware.
According to a new leak from a well-known tipster, the Xiaomi 18 is expected to feature a 6.4-inch OLED display. That would make it a relatively compact flagship, similar in size to the Xiaomi 18 Pro. The screen is said to use an M11 panel and, unlike some curved flagship displays, it may come with a flat design. For users who prefer a more practical screen for gaming, typing, and one-handed use, this could be a welcome choice.
Performance is also expected to be a major selling point. The Xiaomi 18 will reportedly run on the standard Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 rather than the Extreme version. Even so, this should still place the phone among the most powerful Android flagships of its generation, offering high-end gaming performance, faster AI processing, improved efficiency, and strong everyday speed.
The biggest surprise may be the camera system. The leak claims the standard Xiaomi 18 will include a 200MP main camera with a large 1/1.28-inch sensor.
