Xiaomi is getting ready to unveil its next top-tier camera flagship, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, and a new official hands-on video has finally given fans what earlier promotional images didn’t: a quick look at the phone’s front design.
In the short clip, Lu Weibing, Xiaomi’s president, briefly shows the Xiaomi 17 Ultra from the front, making the device’s softer, rounder design language easier to notice than in previous materials. The phone appears to follow the rest of the Xiaomi 17 series with very slim, evenly sized bezels on all sides, creating a clean, symmetrical look around the display. While the bezels look impressively thin, the video doesn’t make it clear whether they’re actually slimmer than the previous Ultra model.
The hands-on video also doubles as a color reveal. Xiaomi had already shown three color options in earlier official visuals, but the footage suggests there’s a fourth finish coming as well—one that hadn’t been revealed before. This newly spotted option has a violet tone, bringing the Xiaomi 17 Ultra’s total color lineup to four.
Among the available finishes, Starry Green is expected to be the headline color at launch. The real-world shots in the video highlight its sparkling, reflective elements, giving it a more eye-catching appearance than the other variants. That said, the remaining three colors also look premium and understated in motion, offering a more classic flagship style for buyers who prefer something subtle.
More official details are expected to surface soon as Xiaomi approaches its China launch event scheduled for December 25, 2025.
