Xiaomi 17 Series and Pad 8 Set for India Debut Next Week

Xiaomi is ready to expand its 2026 flagship lineup in India. After unveiling the devices globally, Xiaomi India has now officially confirmed that the Xiaomi 17 series and Xiaomi Pad 8 will launch in India on March 11.

According to Xiaomi India’s announcement on X, the company is bringing three products to the Indian market: Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Ultra, and Xiaomi Pad 8. The phones are expected to arrive with the same specifications as their global versions, which should be good news for buyers waiting for top-tier hardware without regional cutbacks.

The Xiaomi 17 is positioned as a compact flagship that doesn’t compromise on performance or cameras. It’s said to run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and comes with a 6.3-inch OLED display featuring a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Photography is a major focus too, with a quad 50MP camera setup. Powering it all is a sizeable 6,330mAh battery, paired with fast 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging—features that should appeal to heavy users and anyone who values quick top-ups.

For those who want the biggest screen and the most ambitious camera setup, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra steps things up. It’s expected to feature a large 6.9-inch OLED display with an adaptive 1–120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it also packs the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and a 6,000mAh battery. The camera hardware looks especially headline-worthy: a 50MP main camera, 50MP ultra-wide, 200MP telephoto, and a 50MP front camera—making it a strong contender for shoppers prioritizing zoom performance and high-resolution imaging.

Xiaomi is also bringing a new tablet to the mix with the Xiaomi Pad 8. It’s expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset and features an 11.2-inch IPS display with a 144Hz refresh rate, which should make scrolling, gaming, and stylus-friendly tasks feel more fluid. The device is said to include a 9,200mAh battery with 45W wired charging support. At the moment, Xiaomi hasn’t confirmed whether the Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro will also launch in India.

Availability should be straightforward once the launch goes live. Xiaomi has confirmed that all three devices will be sold in India through Xiaomi India’s official store and Amazon. Pricing details for the Indian market haven’t been revealed yet, but those should be announced at the March 11 launch event.
