Xgimi has introduced a new ultra short throw home theater projector in China called the Mira 4K, launching alongside other fresh models in the company’s lineup. Designed for big-screen viewing in tight spaces, the Mira 4K uses an ultra short throw ratio of 0.175:1, meaning it can produce a massive image while sitting just inches from the wall.
One of the headline features is its ability to project a 100-inch picture from only 19.3 cm (about 7.6 inches) away. That makes it an appealing option for living rooms, bedrooms, and compact home theater setups where a traditional long-throw projector placement simply isn’t practical.
The Mira 4K is a DLP projector built for high-end visuals, with support for HDR10+ and coverage of 110% of the BT.2020 color space. Xgimi is also marketing a 20,000:1 contrast ratio, aiming to deliver deeper blacks and stronger highlights for movies, streaming content, and next-gen console gameplay.
Buyers in China can choose between two versions. The standard Xgimi Mira 4K is rated at up to 2,000 ISO lumens, while the upgraded Mira 4K Pro increases brightness to 3,000 ISO lumens for rooms with more ambient light or users who want a punchier image.
To make setup easier, the projector includes automatic keystone correction, helping straighten and align the picture quickly without manual tweaking. Xgimi is also positioning this model as gaming-friendly, listing features like VRR and ALLM along with an extremely low 1 ms input lag, which should appeal to players looking for smoother motion and more responsive gameplay.
On the smart side, the Mira 4K runs GMUI 6.0 and supports dual-band Wi‑Fi plus Bluetooth 5.2 for wireless connectivity and device pairing. Audio is another major focus: the projector comes with a built-in 360° 2.1-channel sound system tuned by Harman Kardon, with support for Dolby Audio and DTS:X, aiming to deliver more immersive sound without needing an immediate soundbar upgrade.
Pricing in China starts at CNY 6,499 (around $950) for the Mira 4K, while the brighter Mira 4K Pro costs CNY 7,999 (around $1,170). For now, there’s no confirmed timeline for an international release, so it remains unclear whether the Mira 4K series will arrive in markets like the US.
