Honor Unveils Affordable Choice AI Projector Pro for Smarter Big-Screen Viewing

Honor Choice AI Projector Pro launches as an affordable 1080p smart projector with Android

Honor has introduced the Choice AI Projector Pro in China, expanding its smart home entertainment lineup with a budget-friendly projector aimed at casual movie nights, bedroom viewing, and living room streaming. Also listed under the model number MRO-SH01, the new projector focuses on practical features, a compact design, and an accessible price.

The Honor Choice AI Projector Pro offers a native Full HD resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels, making it suitable for watching movies, TV shows, sports, and online videos with sharper detail than basic 720p projectors. It comes with a 1.2:1 throw ratio, which should make it easier to set up in smaller rooms without needing a very long distance between the projector and the wall or screen.

For brightness, Honor claims the LED light source can reach up to 750 nits. However, the company has not yet provided a brightness rating using widely recognized projector standards such as ANSI lumens or ISO lumens. The projector also features a listed contrast ratio of 2,500:1, which should help improve image depth and make darker scenes more watchable in dim environments.

To make setup easier, the Honor Choice AI Projector Pro includes automatic focus and 4-point keystone correction. These tools are especially useful for users who frequently move their projector between rooms or place it at an angle rather than directly in front of the screen. The built-in gimbal-style stand also helps users quickly adjust the projection angle without relying on extra mounts or stands.

The projector runs Android 9.0, giving it smart functionality for streaming and app-based entertainment. It also supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, allowing users to connect wirelessly to networks, speakers, and other compatible devices. For wired connections, the projector includes HDMI 2.0 and USB ports, making it possible to connect laptops, streaming devices, game consoles, or external storage.

Audio is handled by a built-in 5W speaker. While this should be enough for basic viewing in a small room, users who want a richer home theater experience may prefer pairing the projector with an external Bluetooth speaker or soundbar.

Design-wise, the Honor Choice AI Projector Pro comes in a titanium gray finish with a clean, modern look that should blend well into bedrooms, apartments, and compact entertainment setups. Its integrated adjustable stand gives it a more flexible form factor than many entry-level projectors in the same price range.

In China, the Honor Choice AI Projector Pro is priced at CNY 1,199, which is roughly $177. That places it firmly in the affordable smart projector category. At the moment, the projector appears to be intended mainly for the Chinese market, and a wider international release, including North America, seems unlikely.

For buyers looking for a low-cost Full HD smart projector, the Honor Choice AI Projector Pro could be an appealing option thanks to its 1080p resolution, Android system, wireless connectivity, auto-focus, keystone correction, and adjustable stand. Its value will depend heavily on real-world brightness and image quality, but on paper, it offers a strong feature set for its price.
